Location to central Florence, overall it was fine, no real problem

Communication with property regards check in was difficult to be exact with timing as check in was in person. Message request for later check out was not responded to.

The location was amazing ; close to the centre (the durmo) , train station and main attractions (ponte vecchio) just a few minutes of walking. The room was very spacious. We appreciated the quirky aesthetics of the room such as the old lamps, the old armchairs and old books left behind. It made us feel like we were in Florence.

There were several issues that affected our stay. The most significant was an intermittent buzzing noise coming from the wall cavity near the air conditioner. The noise occurred roughly every minute and continued regardless of whether the air conditioner was switched on or off. It sounded like a possible electrical fault and not only disrupted our sleep on several nights but also raised concerns about a potential fire risk. We were also somewhat concerned about the room access code. Our four-digit code appeared to be derived from the building and room numbers, which made it seem relatively easy to guess. Given that previous reviews had mentioned thefts and unauthorised access to rooms, this did not inspire confidence. Housekeeping was another area that could be improved. On a couple of mornings, cleaning staff arrived at around 10 a.m., which felt quite early. When we asked them to return later, we were told they would not be coming back. In addition, our towels and bed linen were not replaced during our six-night stay. The pillows seemed old and very flat, providing limited support and reducing overall comfort. Finally, while complimentary tea and coffee were provided in a shared entrance area, supplies were not always adequately stocked. There were occasions when no coffee was available, and when supplies were replenished, only a small number of coffee pods were provided. We expected a greater level of attentiveness to these details.

Great location

no elevator. has to carry luggages upstairs. although common area provided hot pot, no plug. So someone took it to their own room and others can’t use it.
