Όμορφο και ήσυχο μέρος στον Γαλατα

Très bon accueil, les propriétaires sont aux petits soins. Très bien placé pour aller se promener à Piros. 5 minutes à pied du supermarché.

Superaardige eigenaars. Gastvrijheid ten top. Dubbele airco (grote airco in de leefruimte, zonder afstandsbediening), en een aparte airco in de slaapkamer. Badkamer is in orde, met afsluitbare douchedeur, maar zonder douchekophouder (zoals meestal in Griekenland). Voldoende kastruimte op de slaapkamer. Keuken was volledig uitgerust. Voldoende buitenruimte. Vliegendeur. Het hek dat het domein afsluit, kan bediend worden met een afstandsbediening. Je slaapt er heel rustig!

We vonden het appartement nogal klassiek ingericht. Niet onze smaak. Te veel kussens en decoratie-elementen (de zetels lagen vol, de kasten stonden vol, keukenblad stond vol ). Mits wat modernere meubels en een meer sobere en modernere inrichting, is er veel meer te maken van deze ruimte. Eigenlijk kun je geen vensters open zetten. Het appartement is tegen een helling aangebouwd, en aangezien het appartement zich onderaan bevindt, zijn er enkel kleine vensters bovenaan. Om het dubbel bed op te maken krijg je 2 eenpersoonslakens, en 2 dekens die ofwel te kort, ofwel te smal waren, afhankelijk in welke richting je die op het bed legde. Ook hier is beter mee te doen: tweepersoonslaken, en dekbed of donsdeken voor 2 personen. De wasmachine was stuk toen wij er waren, maar er stond een nieuwe klaar voor de volgende klanten. Je hebt eigenlijk wel een auto nodig als je hier verblijft. Het is een ongeveer een kilometer om het centrum van Galatas te bereiken.

Katerina is the most hard-working, wonderful and kind owner we have ever met (and we have travelled greece a LOT). From the breakfasts to the bowls of food and shots of almond liqueur, we were so well looked after that we extended our stay, something we very rarely do. The area is lovely in October/November and we found everyone very friendly with a great beach a 10 minute drive away and some exceptional areas to explore. The walk to Galatas and back through the olive groves is a peaceful and enjoyable way to end the day. We found Galatas much more to our taste than Poros but it's a quick hop on the boat if that's more your thing. The apartment itself is very well-equipped and worth much more than the nightly rate. A large kitchen with everything you could need, comfortable beds, a good shower and terrace with plenty of seating. We loved our stay and hope to be back for a longer time as soon as we can. This is possibly the best place we've ever stayed. Thanks so much Katerina and Vangelos. :)

The Internet isn't super speedy but was fine for messaging etc. This was nothing compared to the hospitality and value for money for the apartment.
