My partner and I stayed two nights to see the De Haar castle. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts with a wonderful view of the Vecht river. The room (nr 7) was spacious and warm, we loved the bed, and we were in awe with the decorations throughout the accommodation, with the exception of the theme of our room. We also enjoyed visiting Brooklyn Antiques, the antique store on the hotel property. There were some gorgeous travel trunks, model trains, airplanes and clocks there. Finally, we loved having the convenience of taking a bus from the hotel towards Amsterdam and Maarssen. We'll be back!
If I had to make a suggestion, I think the pillows could use more substance. A heads-up on the room theme and floor would also be appreciated.

Beautiful mansion on the river Vecht. Great views of the river and close to charming restaurants. Our room was very comfortable and quiet (double-glazed windows) despite being close to a local road. Very nice breakfast.
I would have preferred a thinner pillow on my bed as an option. The ones we had were all a bit too thick for my personal taste.

Location is great and the freedom given is great as well
The window could not open in full in our room and there is no airco so it was quite warm
