Great location .. hiked straight out of hotel onto volcan Maderas Excellent food .. dinner and breakfast first class best on this trip Friendly helpful staff Lots of hot water comfortable bed

Incredible private houses in the jungle. All sustainable. They grow much of the food they serve. Incredible mission of the owner. Extensive facilities. The wildlife was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. The view from our upstairs balcony was exceptional (Jackfruit house). View from the yoga platform is also exceptional. There is a trail directly to the Volcano Maderas trail. You are very close to nature. We had geckos and large spiders in our rooms- ok if you're ok with that. It's a wonderful property. Also had lots of fans and potable water

No A/C so prepare for that. It was super warm sleeping at night but I'm a menopausal woman. Lol. Driveway is challenging and rough.

The hotel is really well-located in Ometepe and the location among the "jungle" surrounded by trees, birds and howling monkey is verry enjoyable.

The services of the hotel are really overpriced. We booked the rustic room which indicated a private bathroom. However the shower is located outside, which would be fine if there was not the "natural" toilet, which can be quite smelly. The mosquito net is full of holes and thus not useful at all and the room was extremely hot. on the first night, there were guests on the room above and it was extremely noisy due to the foot steps and the poor insulation. We rented a scooter bike, for 35 usd per day which is more expensive than the rest of the island, and when trying it, the tire was actually flat. We had to cancel a day because my partner was ill and we dtill had to pay a 20 usd cancellation fee. We also used the shard kitchen to store some food for our hike, which other guests mistakenly took, because some good was thrown away by the staff the same morning due to a power outage the day before. When we addressed this to the staff, they did not seem to care or even offered a solution (like preparing a quick omlet sandwich) which could have been a nice gesture., given that we went to s 8 hour hike with no food. All of this made us not fully appreciate our stay in Ometepe. Given that it was low season and not so many guests were present on the property, we would have appreciated some small customer friendly gestures given all the hiccups.
