Playa Blanca Beach Resort

Definitely the best decision to book this hotel. Staff were so nice, we're not even planning to avail packages from them but we ended up taking it. They are so generous and helpful. The view from our room is immaculate, I guess the upper room has even better view but we're so happy booking the queen executive room. The hotel is sitting right in front of the beach. Infinity pool was amazing. We didn't encounter any issues with the room, the staff or even the payments. For our first travel, that was a big win! Thankyou playa blanca, will going back again!

I’ll keep things short and sweet. I stayed at the “executive” suite. The location is great, as the beach is right outside your window and you’re right on white beach. Also, the staff is very helpful and friendly. They also have a stocked fridge, which is nice. Finally, the bedsheets are soft, as are the pillows, even if the bed itself is a bit firm, which I personally prefer. The downsides: there seems to be zero parking except a couple of spots for bikes, if you finagle it. The water pressure is abysmal; it’s basically a trickle. The floor of the room was still dirty with sand and dirt piled in the corner near the door when we arrived. Two of my 5 clothes hangers were broken. The furniture is extremely sparse; I had to request for a side table that was already shown in the picture. The place is under renovation, due to a typhoon last year, but it makes it just a little inconvenient to access if you’re able-bodied, otherwise, you’re unable to go here, as there’s no lift yet many stairs to climb. The thing that gets me the most is there is NO hairdryer. I recognize the amenities do not list a hair dryer, however, for a 3+ star resort, in an “executive suite,” I would at least expect an amenity than even some of the cheapest hotels and hostels provide. It’s a bit ridiculous, frankly, to not even have a budget hair dryer available. Apparently the staff has told the owner she should have some, yet she is still “thinking about it.” Even with the friendliness of the staff, I can’t currently recommend this place. If the water pressure were remedied, it was cleaned up a bit, and the hair dryer provided, I’d consider staying here again for sure. But as of now, I feel like I’d just pay a few more extra dollars for a place with not nearly as good of a view, but better amenities.

On arrival the only free parking was along the side of the highway. There were 2 parking spots both used by the owners vehicles. The whole facility was under renovation which will probably last more than a year according to what the owner said he will have done. There was a swimming pool but it was filthy from all of the construction and concrete dust. Be aware there are 116 steps from the road to the beach. They said they have lights for the stairs but if you don't ask every afternoon they don't turn them on. The staff is nice and try to be as helpful as possible under the circumstances. The wifi is unusable from any of the rooms.
