Porta Apartment and Rooms by Irundo

Great location very near to Pile Gate (don't believe Google maps, you don't have to walk around to the other side. You can walk into the old town through Pile gate so this place is brilliant location-wise). However the apartment itself is tough going. When I opened the first door to go in the first thing I saw was the sign saying "Private house" so got a bit of a shock. After thinking for a while and double-checking I pushed the door back more to see the stairs going up around to the right. Two flights up with bags - I guess you get what you pay for and Dubrovnik is one of the most expensive places in Europe. The bed and pillows were "diffferent". My wife said it was lumpy like me - all in the right places! Was comfortable though. If you are tall this room is very tight for you and expect to bang your head at least once. Every where is expensive here - you can't escape that but for the money you pay, I thought we'd get something better. Not going to happen in Dubrovnik though.

There were a few things but we enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik so much I am not going to dwell on the first world problems we had.

Perfect location. Great bed and shower. Easy accessibility with transport. Close to market. Beach Sulic is close and awesome. No hectic stairs with luggage situation.

Would have appreciate some cutlery and crockery for the kitchenette.

The location is near perfect. My apartment was on 3 rd floor however that is very normal for dubrovnik. It had everything we needed.

Good location right outside old town gates

We were told there would be wifi and there was none our whole stay. We were also only given 1 towel (and 1 face towel) for the whole 5 nights and the property stated any extra would be at an additional charge. TV also did not work.
