Hastings House

Location was great. Small but clean. No one there to check us in, had to ask other guests to give us passcode to locked box to get our key.

Booked this as an overnight stay - last minute. Great location, clean enough and easy check in/out process. Walls are paper thin so you can hear neighbours coming / going / conversations. Would stay again as a quick stop over!

I booked on behalf of my parents so this review is from my experience of dealing with the bookings process, and of their own time at the motel. The booking was simple through Agoda but receiving check-in information and communicating with staff was challenging and poor. Check-in information was not shared until the morning of the check-in date, and no e-mail or text notice was provided at all within <24 hours of the check-in time. The phone number linked to the accommodation is disconnected and there is no clear information about reception availability. I had e-mailed the provided e-mail contact 2 days beforehand, so I could request a change in contact for the booking, and I did not receive a response until very late on the evening before check-in. It is also worth noting that the communication was blunt and unprofessional, without any acknowledgement or consideration for my shared concern about the lack of check-in information so close to the booking date. It was very unnerving to feel like the booking was going to fall through or be inconvenient for my parents to manage. Thankfully, my parents reported a very positive stay, with clean and sufficient amenities. The location was perfect and within walking distance of fantastic bars and restaurants! They had some issues with parking but they said it wasn't too significant - they paid $20/day for a designated parking spot in/around the motel, but it was, at times, taken by other people.

We stayed for 3 nights recently. On arrival, we were aware it is a reception less property. Keys are used from a lock box, but no info or details had been sent to us. After 3 calls (2 phone numbers didn’t exist) an instant message and a visit to the onsite restaurant meant we were finally able to get our key and check in. The room is extremely basic, very limited storage, bathroom tiny and walls thin. If you want to stay on Hastings Street, it would only be worth considering if the rates reflected the property. For us, it was extremely overpriced for what it offered. We have stayed in Noosa a few times (last time was The Sound & that was fab!) and this is by far the worst place we have stayed.
