La Casa Delle Fate

We stayed in in apartment Cirico which has a small private shady courtyard which was very nice to sit in in the heat of the day. As others have said, Luca could not have been more helpful or kind. The property is situated less than a minutes walk from the beach Cala Rosso and there's a great little cafe just around the corner. The facilities in the apartment are great, everything we needed, and the aircon is superb. The apartment is very cute, stone walls, quirky decor, comfortable sofa. We loved it and we loved Ortigia!

Really comfortable place, great location, great AC in the heat of Sicily!. And the best highlight is that Luca is extremely helpful in any situations and will sort out anything you need. Lots of advice was also given on where to go/ what to do in ortigia, which was collated from people previously stating which was amazing :) Definitely recommend this place!

Everything! The apartment is wonderfully spacious, clean, and very well‑equipped. The location in Ortigia is perfect – close to the sea, the bus stop, and surrounded by restaurants. The air conditioning worked brilliantly (a real lifesaver), and the mezzanine bed was super comfortable. We really appreciated having access to a washing machine and an iron – so handy for travelling light. But the absolute highlight was Luca, our host. He gave us the warmest welcome with a homemade cake and a bottle of wine – such a thoughtful gesture! He prepared loads of useful tourist materials and took the time to explain everything about the area, recycling, and appliances. He also checked in on WhatsApp during our stay to make sure we were doing well, which showed how much he genuinely cares about his guests. His dedication and kindness made us feel truly at home.

Honestly, nothing that spoiled our stay! Just two minor practical notes: the stairs to the mezzanine are quite steep, so it's worth keeping in mind if you have heavy luggage or any mobility issues (we managed just fine). Also, the shower is a little dated and could probably use a refresh soon, but it was perfectly functional and clean. Overall, these are tiny details in an otherwise excellent experience.

Luca was incredibly kind, patient and hospitable. He guided us thoroughly through the appliances of the apartment and always made himself available if we needed to contact him, which we didn't have to as everything was perfect! Luca's mother kindly baked a tart for us (very delicious!) and it ultimately felt like we were staying with family. Luca is a wonderful host, I love the location and the apartment and I will 100% be booking with him again. I've never had such a kind host when travelling, you can tell the property is a labour of love. The building felt very secure and always smells of fresh laundry. Outside of our apartment was a small balcony where I sat and listened to the music on the street below whilst the sun was setting. La Casa Delle Fate is perfect for romantic getaways, traveling with family or even a solo trip. Thank you again Luca and family!!!
