Monte dos Freixos Country House

La casa está muy bien equipada, con todo lo imprescindible, con buen gusto y con instrucciones detalladas para todo. Solamente, que al ir en el mes de diciembre la casa estaba fría y tardó un poco en coger temperatura, pero el resto de los días bien, El anfitrión muy atento y dispuesto en todo momento.

This house is lovely. The owners arranged someone to be there to meet us which was so great after a long drive. There was fresh bread and a bottle of local wine too. We always rent places just for the 2 of us and I have never settled in and felt so at home so quickly. Everything in the kitchen is immaculately clean - highly unusual, and the kitchen is well equipped to self cater. The village itself is beautifully kept and there are a couple of cars and restaurants you can walk too. The pool is lovely. Even though fir 3 days after we arrived it rained and was cold this did not spoil our holiday. We did cooking with the chef at Joao Portugal Ramos vineyard, wine lending and then tapas and wine tasting all of which were great experiences. The house also has heated in each room so we were not cold at all. The Saturday market in Estremoz was lovely too. All in all a lovely place and one we would recommend and return to.

The house name is not on the entrance only the house number which we hadn’t been given.

Het bed was erg aangenaam en we hebben heerlijk geslapen. Verder hebben we genoten van het fijne zwembad. Het huis was erg netjes. Eigenaar communiceert vlot en correct.

Wij vonden het huis erg donker. We hebben begrepen dat dit de traditionele bouwstijl is in Alentejo en ideaal is om de warmte buiten te houden. Wij vonden de algemene indruk van het huis verouderd. Nergens vonden we een gemakkelijke zitplaats. Het meubilair in de woonkamer en buiten oogt erg verouderd, net als de keukentoestellen. Buiten is er enige hinder van de grote weg die net achter de woning loopt. Binnen is er geen hinder. Wifi werkt alleen binnenshuis.
