Good place to explore the winelands

Excellent views, stunning grounds, and good location for exploring the winelands. We had a good time.

Everything was lovely. It is a small thing, but I just didn't feel particularly welcomed at the establishment during my stay, except by the person who gave us our keys, though everything went well. This makes a difference to return clientele.

Loved the second pool at the bottom which allowed more privacy. Enjoyed the sitting area outside the rooms. Outdoor family style breakfast area. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean. It was a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Ease getting in and out of gate with personal remote. Absolutely loved every aspect of the lodge.

Very pleasant and relaxing.

I really liked the room and the overall feel of the place. The pool area is very tranquil, and the view of the mountains was truly splendid. I requested a room with a good view and not only received that but, I also received an upgrade. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Possibly considering a dinner menu would be helpful as we did not want to drive out but had to. During breakfast, the buffet was not refilled so, we did not have many options to choose from.

Peaceful, stunning gardens and close to restaurants.

We loved the stay, the peaceful and beautiful gardens were such a bonus. Lovely sizey rooms , loved the large bathroom too.

We loved the stay, the only thing we missed was the Rugby was on and there was nowhere to watch unless we went into stellenbosh. A nice bar area or lounge area with a TV would be a bonus

This is a very special place and hidden gem. If you’re looking to relax and totally switch off this is the place to come. This was my third time and it never disappoints. Gorgeous location, lovely staff and 2 beautiful pools! Thanks again for a wonderful stay :) I brought my whole family to enjoy multiple times.

What promised to be a four-star experience turned out to be little more than an empty shell of one

The room offered ample space, complete with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and complimentary spa-quality toiletries and towels. Guests benefit from free Wi-Fi and parking, while breakfast provides a satisfactory start to the day. The landscaped grounds are well-kept, and the quiet surroundings contribute to a restful atmosphere.

Despite its four-star classification, the hotel fails to deliver the essentials one would expect. Complimentary bottled water was offered only on the first day, with guests required to purchase it thereafter. Core amenities such as on-site dining options beyond breakfast, a fitness center, concierge services, room service, 24-hour reception, flat-screen TV, and a work desk were simply not provided. Even the advertised Nespresso machine came with the catch of paid pods. Far from offering a sense of luxury, the property felt deserted once the sun went down, with no facilities, no atmosphere, and not even a television to switch on — an experience well below four-star expectations.

Best Spot in the area

Wow. Just wow. Comfortable bed, room was amazing, the lodge amazing, the staff precious. Everything was ready on arrival. They printed the sheet with my name, allocated keys to it, very well done. The walk to the room was a highlight. They even had a celebration for a deceased colleague, that showed me how they care for their own team. The garden are is a plus. The wine farms and town are very close. A calm and perfect place to explore the city. Did not go to the pool as it was cold but it was just stunning.

They should have one more seat on the cement table by the lower pool. Thats it, the rest was amazing

Beds were comfortable. The experience was acceptable on every level - but not exceptional.

Any of the guesthouses in the area are better. It lacks personal touch. It’s run by staff who don’t really care about making your stay memorable.

The 2 standard rooms we booked were not fit for purpose.Very very small with no room for luggage even on the floor or any hanging space(reception tried to say having 3 hangers next to the bed meant there was hanging space)..The property needs to make clients aware how small these rooms are.The breakfast and reception area is tired and dated in its decor and furnishings.Either knock the 2 small standard rooms into one or advertise that standard rooms are effectively single ..

this boutique hotel was such a find! great location and staff make you feel very welcomed. they upgraded our room at no charge, we had a lovely big room that overlooked the stunning garden. breakfast was lovely too.
