About this cabin rental
Historic cabin built in the 1920's. Dr. Fine, the county's only doctor, used the cabin as his fishing getaway. The fishing hole is located at the big bend, just below the fork of the North and Middle Forks of the Smith River.
Nestled among the old growth Douglas Firs, and a quiet beach with private access, this cozy cabin has it all!
In all directions, are views of the pristine Smith River and National Forest. Birds are abundant! We are visited by Osprey, Kingfishers and a resident Bald Eagle. The yard brings songbirds and various bird species that provide hours of fun for birders.

When we walked in, both my wife and I had the same thought, "This is so much nicer than the pictures make it seem." The outdoor space makes this property, and the inside has everything you need to be comfortable. My kids loved skipping rocks in the river and have stick races. Sitting on the deck at night was so peaceful. The one area that was disappointing to us was the ants. They were in the bathroom and the kitchen constantly. We had to keep all food in the fridge (even while prepping) to ensure ants didn't get to it. We saw that the homeowners were trying to address it with OTC ant baits, but it seems like professional pest control is needed. We wish we had more time here, and we absolutely would return.

What a gem of a find and stay. This place is absolutely beautiful, and I wish I had 2 more days I could stay. As you walk around the property it just keeps getting better. I am traveling solo, I think the cabin capacity is 3, and that would be snug. But I kept thinking every time I sat on the back porch listening to the river, its a shame no one is with me to enjoy this together. Having a washer and dryer in the room totally completed the package. Thank you so much for letting me enjoy your cabin for a couple days
