Excellent location and within easy reach of excellent walks. The cottage was clean and comfortable although some may find the stairs leading to upstairs a slight challenge.
More dog friendly, as basically the dog was banished to the kitchen as no dogs allowed upstairs or on the furniture, even though we had our own furniture covers. The property description states 2 pets welcome (not to be left unattended ). Nowhere does it state no dogs upstairs or on the furniture until you arrive at the property. There was no welcome pack provided as stated on the property description when booking, so on arrival, we had to travel 5 miles to purchase milk and bread. During the winter months, the property states a roaring wood burning stove awaits you. There is a wood burning stove in the property, however, the stove was not lit and there was not even a bag of logs provided. The property is described as having a King Size bed, this is not the case. The towels provided are bath towels and could really do with being Bath sheets ( Personal Preference ). The property sleeps 4 people, however, there were only 3 dinner plates, 1 of which was badly chipped and only 3 forks and 2 desert spoons, so a family of 4 would struggle. This is an honest and balanced review of our stay at this property. If some of the issues we have raised could be dealt with, i would have no hesitation in staying here again

Lovely cottage with beautiful views. Responsive host. Tastefully furnished. Spacious. Powerful little freezer.
Steep stairs, not enough cutlery, tight bath, no logs upon arrival.
