Fantastic few days

The cottage was beautiful and very comfortable. Plenty of space to accommodate the family as well as being able to invite some friends round for a birthday celebration. Lovely location as well. The instructions for arrival were very clear and when we found that there was no electricity in the boathouse, we had a number to call and it was sorted within 10 minutes.

The outdoor lights were on all night, we tried to find a switch to turn them off. It might be that they were not supposed to be turned off but we were conscious of electricity. It was not a problem however.

Characterful cottage in superb canalside location.

Beautiful quirky cottage brimming with original features. Fabulous location literally on the canal towpath. We didn't use the hot tub which was tucked away behind the back wall in a slightly shady area. The gardens were well stocked and maintained and there is a lovely seating area that gets the sun. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are airy. Highly recommend.

There was not much that could have been improved - just a few more kitchen items needed (water jug, more plates / bowls, wooden spoons and scissors).

Location and style of decor and furniture.

Minor details kitchen equipment missing basics such as scissors and no dishwasher tablets when it has not been made clear that a dishwasher was in the kitchen. A couple to start us off would have been welcome. Other wise a great place.

Both the cottage and location are amazing. Beautifully furnished. Fantastic for a family get together. Owner and staff are really friendly. Would definitely stay again. Lovely welcome basket of goodies on arrival.

no dishwasher at the property limited access to the bathroom from one of the bedrooms (have to go downstairs and back up another staircase or access through the other bedroom)

we all had the bast four days ever, no one wanted to leave, we would all happily come back and stay again. would definit

loved the location of the property, beautiful surroundings, only 10min walk from the town. (would recommend walking the canal route, as safer with children than the road, & much faster) house was perfect size for our group of 11. Had everything we needed, (although a dishwasher would of been nice) welcome pack of bread,butter, milk, cookies and scones was a lovely touch. hot tub was great, especially after our white water rapids trip.

downside were , unfortunately only had 1 toilet/bathroom in the main house and 1toilet & shower in the annex, not the best for a large group.(although if you walk through the garden up the back to caravan park there are clean toilets there). need more outside lights, especial around the back of the property where hot tub is, and walking to annex. more out side seats needed (even if just a long bench or some camping chairs. step for hot tub could do with a rubber mat( unfortunately one of us slipped getting out & badly bruised her foot. needs a bath mat in main house as bath was very slippery & bath floor mats would be good.

oven has dirty glass door had to ask for mirrors to look in huge lack of hanging space for clothes not even hooks in back of door the advert on here is not clear that the 2nd bathroom is in another building so 1 loo and 1 shower between 6 is inadequate and not clear you had to walk through other bedroom to use loo

Lovely stay for our family of 10 for my husbands 60th. Would definitely recommend

Lovely location at the side of Llangollen Canal. House had a homely feeling to it and was very comfortable. Annex was also lovely. Items left for us included Welsh cakes, bara brith, Welsh butter, bread, milk plus tea and coffee which was a lovely welcome touch.

Fridge in main building wasn’t working properly but we got round that by using the fridge in the annex.
