Penddol Cottage & Boathouse

Perfect for a stay for the whole family. Spent a few days there celebrating a 50th birthday, great location and the hot tub was a bonus tucked away at the rear of the property

The property itself is stunning. The seating area is lovely and watching the horses / boats go past was really nice. Plenty of room for a large group. The location is perfect.

The house and annexe are in need of a very good deep clean and some TLC. The oven needs some attention, not a huge issue as we ate out mostly but needed the grill for breakfast for 9 people. I will add there’s an air fryer for those that like them. The television in the large sitting room would have been great if the sky box was working, again not a huge issue as the other room had a working tv and there wasn’t a point when all 9 of us wanted to watch tv! We had to call the owners as none of the toilets in the house were flushing properly Saturday morning, I will add this was dealt with immediately and the chap was very friendly. The pathway & garden could do with a tidy up and the source of the water leak outside by the annexe door finding….this is turning to mud and not nice as you’re walking into a property. I thought I’d read that the garden was secure but I must have misread as it wasn’t, again we had a long lead for the dog and no young children so not a huge problem for us. The only other problem we had was a light on all night at the back of the house outside the large bedroom window, this could be our fault but we couldn’t find the switch to turn it off!

Location and style of decor and furniture.

Minor details kitchen equipment missing basics such as scissors and no dishwasher tablets when it has not been made clear that a dishwasher was in the kitchen. A couple to start us off would have been welcome. Other wise a great place.
