I DID NOT ENJOY MY STAY AT THIS LOCATION

PROXIMITY TO THE CITY OF WELLS AND OTHER ATTRACTIONS

THE LOCATION WAS NOTHING LIKE I HAD EXPECTED. I THOUGHT BOOKING A PROPERTY IN A VILLAGE WOULD BE PEACEFUL BUT IT WAS THE NOISIEST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. THE KITCHEN WAS VERY OUTDATED AND THE COOKER VERY SLOW. NO WIFI AND VIRTUALLY NO PHONE RECEPTION. IT IS OPPOSITE A PUB WHICH WAS NOISY AT NIGHT AND HAD CONSTANT DELIVERIES AND REFUSE COLLECTIONS DURING THE DAY. THERE WERE ROAD WORKS AND DRAINAGE WORKS GOING ON RIGHT OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY WHICH I WAS NOT WARNED ABOUT AND CARS PARKING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOWS,

A charming country property in a fabulous location

The accommodation is very well equipped, cosy, comfortable and spacious. Parking is provided and a lovely pub is right next door. The location is fabulous for local attractions. We had a packed week and could have stayed longer as there was tons to see and do. There is a tv and DVD player and games and DVDs. Everything was laid on that you could possibly want. We did meet the host and he was very welcoming and helpful.

Internet and phone signal mostly lacking, but then, it is Somerset! You really can't blame the host for that.

The cottage is in a peaceful location. The host was friendly and provided everything we needed.

The location of the cottage was perfect for discovering the joys of Somerset. The onsite parking was very handy. It was a peaceful setting with nearby transport connections if necessary.

Everything was lovely. Nothing was disappointing. The wifi was intermittent but I was well aware of this before I booked the property. I enjoy having a bath but fully appreciate that due to the size of the bathroom a shower was provided.

We had a lovely week travelling around Somerset and having such a lovely cottage to come back to and relax.

Excellent location, comfortable beds, very well equipped. Great pub next door serving good food.

No Wi-Fi was a problem when trying to research places to visit as we couldn’t get a phone signal either. So need to plan excursions beforehand.

Fantastic Holiday would like to return.

The Old Cider Barn was Very Clean and Very well equipped, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, the absence of a washing machine didn't bother us I'd much prefer to have the dishwasher in any case. Phil the host was a very friendly man and not at all intrusive. Pub next door was not a problem either. Food was ok, brilliant burgers, not so good Sunday Lunch. Wookey Hole was a fab day out and lot of other things to see and do.

Beds were maybe a little hard for our liking but did not stop us from sleeping. Lots of places to eat are closed on Sunday afternoon those that were open, you would need to pre book

Perfect for me

A very welcoming host and very thoughtful. Perfect hideaway at very central location. Enjoyed my stay and there are EE WIFI hotspots in this house. So dont panic!!
