Fabulous hotel with friendly and helpful staff-a 3 minute walk to a stunning beach

the hotel is on the route of the Camino del Norte. It is an indulgence for a pilgrim to stay there, but an older Camino traveller, I was grateful for the well-appointed hotel room. I appreciated the proximity to the beautiful beach, and also the ons-site restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great stay.

Hotel is very isolated unless you are a beach /surf lover . No local facilities or village life in area which is pretty souless , mainly holiday apartments and villas. We booked a table on two nights for 8.30 but on arrival were told we would have to wait 30 mins until the Saga group had finished dining ! As well as an ala carte menu there are three set menus at 65 euros , 45 euros and 35 euros. However both diners have to choose the same price menu ! Stupid as this means if I wanted the 65 menu but my wife wanted the 35 menu and I acquiesced to her choice the hotel loses 30 euros revenue! If I come in and sit at one table and order the 65 menu and my wife comes in and sits at another table and orders the 35 menu whats the difference ? This experience spoilt our enjoyment although the presentation and quality of the food was excellent . We felt strongly that the Saga group took priority over independent travelling residents.

You truly cannot beat the location!

This hotel needs a massive overhaul. We’ve been staying here consistently for the last four summers, and every summer it gets worse… our room was dirty, huge stains on the rug. The tea kettle had mold in it, there were massive cobwebs in the drapes, the AC has been out for two years now. The fish tank in the lobby is dark, dank and depressing—free those animals and get rid of that nasty eyesore! This is the first year I was hesitant to eat at the restaurant because I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I love this hotel and this beach and would LOVE to see the hotel restored to its former glory! This year was probably our last stay until that happens.
