Mathraki Resort

The resort was beautiful, clean, peaceful and had a lovely family feel. The rooms were spacious with a handy kitchen area with fridge. The rooms were cleaned daily and had towels provided. The food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the Nutella cookie pancakes at breakfast! The resort was in a great location close to Gouvia town/beach and was close to a bus stop to go into Corfu Town. It had a larger swimming pool and also a small one for kids, there was also a little park area on site. The staff were a family and they were so friendly and helpful and made our stay comfortable. They always made time to chat with us which we appreciated. My husband also accidentally left some clothes at the resort which when asked they posted back for us without hesitation! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return!

Very friendly resort, family running the resort were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the food from the taverna. The pool was lovely with very comfortable loungers always available. We booked car hire through the resort and were very happy with it.

Pool was fabulous with plenty of beds which were cleaned every day. The food was great and so were the cocktails 🍹 The staff were really friendly and accommodating. It’s a family run business and it was George’s 68th birthday and all the guests were invited to join in the celebrations.

Not much around the resort but Gouvia town was just a short walk away.

Really enjoyed breakfast. Service was always with a smile 😊

For us nothing, all was perfect

NOT a resort experience. It's a hotel with a pool. The owners seemed bothered by our presence, creating an unwelcoming environment, though their sons were notably kind and accommodating. When I requested an extra towel for my child, I was told they needed the original towel back before providing another, which felt petty and inhospitable. Later, when my husband was unwell and I asked for new sheets, they brought a worn-out set with no elastic, the wrong size for the bed. By morning, we noticed the sheets had been sewn in three places to patch old holes, but they were now torn even more.The one-bedroom apt had no table to eat. The only table was outside, where temperatures exceeded 40°C, making it impossible to eat comfortably. We had to drag the table inside just to have a meal. The room had no sheer curtains, only heavy, thick ones, forcing us to choose between privacy with no natural light or leaving the windows exposed for others to see in.The neighborhood was less than appealing, with a rundown vibe that added to the disappointment. A nearby hotel was overrun with teenagers partying loudly at all hours of the night, disrupting any chance of rest. The French doors were another issue—they could only be closed from the inside, there was no handle on the outside which was inconvenient. Strangest of all, at 22:00, the staff asked for the black book containing the Wi-Fi password and hotel information. It was returned the next day after someone tidied the room, but the request felt odd and unnecessary. My mother was staying in a different room and lost half the power in the room so there was no air conditioning.  She wasn't feeling well that day and asked that it be fixed immediately.  They said they would get to it.  She said she would go out for an hour and expected it to be fixed upon her return or to change her room.  The owner said 'don't tell me what to do".  Overall, the experience was disappointing.

It was very nicely appointed with everything you need eg washing line soaps and good hair dryer and the beds were very comfortable.

There’s only one entrance in even though there are multiple gates you can’t go through so you must walk further than is needed with shopping ect

Greeted upon arrival, all the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Pool was lovely, resort was lovely. A very enjoyable stay.

I can't say i disliked anything about the resort.
