Fabulous

Pool was fabulous with plenty of beds which were cleaned every day. The food was great and so were the cocktails 🍹 The staff were really friendly and accommodating. It’s a family run business and it was George’s 68th birthday and all the guests were invited to join in the celebrations.

Not much around the resort but Gouvia town was just a short walk away.

Disappointing Stay: More Hotel Hassle Than Resort Retreat

NOT a resort experience. It's a hotel with a pool. The owners seemed bothered by our presence, creating an unwelcoming environment, though their sons were notably kind and accommodating. When I requested an extra towel for my child, I was told they needed the original towel back before providing another, which felt petty and inhospitable. Later, when my husband was unwell and I asked for new sheets, they brought a worn-out set with no elastic, the wrong size for the bed. By morning, we noticed the sheets had been sewn in three places to patch old holes, but they were now torn even more.The one-bedroom apt had no table to eat. The only table was outside, where temperatures exceeded 40°C, making it impossible to eat comfortably. We had to drag the table inside just to have a meal. The room had no sheer curtains, only heavy, thick ones, forcing us to choose between privacy with no natural light or leaving the windows exposed for others to see in.The neighborhood was less than appealing, with a rundown vibe that added to the disappointment. A nearby hotel was overrun with teenagers partying loudly at all hours of the night, disrupting any chance of rest. The French doors were another issue—they could only be closed from the inside, there was no handle on the outside which was inconvenient. Strangest of all, at 22:00, the staff asked for the black book containing the Wi-Fi password and hotel information. It was returned the next day after someone tidied the room, but the request felt odd and unnecessary. My mother was staying in a different room and lost half the power in the room so there was no air conditioning. She wasn't feeling well that day and asked that it be fixed immediately. They said they would get to it. She said she would go out for an hour and expected it to be fixed upon her return or to change her room. The owner said 'don't tell me what to do". Overall, the experience was disappointing.

A lovely stay with nice friendly staff and comfortable beds around the pool and apartment .

It was very nicely appointed with everything you need eg washing line soaps and good hair dryer and the beds were very comfortable.

There’s only one entrance in even though there are multiple gates you can’t go through so you must walk further than is needed with shopping ect

Our stay at Mathraki Resort was amazing. The staff were helpful and very very polite. The resort isn’t very big and therefore not crowded. It’s buildings is situated a little bit further from main street, what makes this area peaceful and calm. You can definitely relax here and feel like in paradise. Rooms are spacious in highest comfort and well – equipped, starting with small things like towels and ending on a functional kitchenette. The swimming pool area is clean and well maintained. The opening hours of swimming pool are very comfortable. You can use it almost all day - from the morning to the eavning and you can join it whenever you like. If you try to find a place to relax and feel like in heaven, Mathraki Resort is definitely a good choice. You can spend here great holidays, drink delicious drinks and support family business 😉

Összességében kedves, aranyos szálláshely. Szép, gondozott, nyugodt környezetben helyezkedik el. A medence kiváló, ahogyan a napozó ágyak is. Nem volt zsúfolt sosem, nagyon tetszett, hogy a tulajdonos háziállatai(kutya, cica) közöttünk éltek, a személyzet teljes értékű tagjai voltak. A személyzet laza, igazodnak a vendégek igényeihez, pl. étterem, medence nyitvatartása, Külön köszönet Nikosnak a menedzsmentből, aki a különleges kéréseinket is azonnal teljesítette, a szállás rugalmasságból maximális pontszámot érdemel. A közeli kisboltban minden kapható, amire szükség lehet, a kiszolgálás kedves, mosolygós. A wi-fi tökéletesen működött a szobákban és a medence körül is. A szallastól kb 2 percnyire van a buszmegálló, ahol megáll a helyi kék busz és a green bus több járata is. A buszmegállóban levő QR kódot beolvasva látható, hol jár éppen a busz.

Egy kicsit távolabb esik a város központjától, Gouvia beach kb 10 perc séta, viszont pont emiatt csendesebb is. A mi apartmanunk egy kicsit lelakott volt, az ágynemű és a törölközők kopottak voltak, érdemes lenne erre kicsit nagyobb hangsúlyt fektetni. Úgy sejtem lehet az apartmanháznak egy régebbi és egy modernebb része, a régire bőven ráférne a felújítás. A konyha nagyon kicsi, szinte alig van a szekrényekben tányér, edények. Főzésre alkalmatlan. Az egyik légkondi nagyon kellemetlen szagot árasztott működés közben. A kiszolgáló személyzet kedvességét (aki jelen van a szállodában) nem érzékeltük, sőt kifejezetten érdektelenek voltak. Köszönésben nem erősek, a kicsekkoláskor George elvette szó nélkül a kulcsot, mondta a számla összegét és ennyi volt a kommunikáció. Sem egy köszönjük, hogy minket választott sem egy kedves érdeklődés, hogyan éreztük magunkat. Szinte még egy elköszönés sem jutott.

Delightful family run holiday apartments. A lovely outside pool area with the family on hand day and night for drinks, food, and chats. A lot of people we met had used the apartments many times. A great base for exploring Corfu and its amazing beaches.

There are new apartments on site but we had one of the older ones, very clean and regularly cleaned, though the cutlery and crockery could be updated.

Ο χώρος και η ψυχική ηρεμία που σου προκαλεί το περιέβαλαν μέσα στο κατάλυμα ο Νίκος και ο Δημήτρης μαζί με Τους γονείς του πολύ φιλόξενοι και πολύ καλοί άνθρωποι πρόθυμοι να σε βοηθήσουν σε ότι και να τους ζητήσεις από τα καλύτερα και πιο όμορφα καταλύματα που έχω επισκεφτεί σε νησί ποτέ μου θα ξανά πάω σίγουρα .

Δεν υπάρχει πιστεύω άνθρωπος που να μην του αρέσει κάτι όλα είναι τέλεια και πάρα πολύ καθαρά τα δωμάτια και ο εξωτερικός χώρος επίσης.

Lovely stay. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was very clean, simple and aesthetically pleasing. The pool area is lovely and the location is perfect - especially if you hire a car as it's not too far from town and directly in front of gouvia town and beach which is lovely and has lots of places to eat. Nikos and Demitris were helpful and very relaxed. The family dogs and cats were also a lovely addition to our stay. We definitely recommend staying here.

no WiFi almost the entire trip. the owners son (I think) seemed annoyed to be asked to fix and was never able to assist. The location is not so good. Definitely not a resort. felt more like a youth hostel

Pleasant

Ubication is good if you have a car, 5 min walking from Gouvia and 10 min by car from Corfú town. There is plenty of parking space. Swimming pool is nice and clean. Rooms are big. Kitchen is small but has the minimum things to survive.

Our room was in front of the swimming pool, in the ground floor, so we had no privacy and lots of noise from the pool. There were no windows or natural light in the room. Cleaning only takes place once a week: they change the towels but not much more than that. They give you only two rolls of toilet paper and nothing to wash the dishes, although it should be included as it says in Booking. Wifi does not work in the room. We asked many times during the booking for a double bed, but got two twin beds instead.
