A beautiful, peaceful stay in a stunning property – we can’t wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beaconsfield Farm. The property is beautiful, full of character and finished to a really high standard. It was spotlessly clean, cosy and very well equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings were peaceful and scenic, perfect for switching off and relaxing. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, which made the whole experience even better.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to fault. If anything, we just wish we had booked for longer as two nights didn’t feel like enough!

Amazing

Couldn’t have sex as every time my partner went to get off the bed the floor was so uneven . Also bed was against the wall so fixed if for you guys. Welcome 🙂

Great stay in a great property

The property was tastefully decorated, spacious, well maintained and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable, as was the good quality furniture and furnishings. We were very happy for the convenience of supplies (eg, washing-up liquid & cloth, dishwasher tablets, garbage bag, salt & pepper, coffee, tea, yummy biscuits) so that we didn’t need to repeatedly visit the supermarket. We were also grateful for the supplied laundry rack, so our clothes could dry quickly after using the washing machine. We had a car space immediately adjacent to the cottage. The property’s photos are accurately reflect the property. Communication with the property was exceptional and detailed.

Peaceful and scenic location

Lovely location, rural and quiet. Stunning views from every window. Easy to access and park outside. The apartment has everything you need for a short or longer stay, well equipped kitchen, storage in the bedroom and a comfortable bed. The host is very responsive and dealt with any issues we had quickly.

We would definitely choose to stay here again. Fabulous place in the heart of Somerset.

The setting for this accommodation is wonderful. Rolling hills and apple orchards. Nice garden, superb location for visiting this part of Somerset.

An electrical fuse failed late on Saturday during our stay, resulting in no hot water/ unable to use the shower but the host ensured that this was repaired the very next day. She didn't need to do this, but she gave us a nice plant and box of chocs just to say sorry. We thought this was so kind and thoughtful.

Superb!

We spent 6 nights at the Dairy Cottage. It is superb. Loved eating meals in the beautiful garden. Cottage is spotless and well equipped, linen is of a good quality and the bed is super comfortable! We loved going for walks in the country, knowing that Wells is just a short drive away. We were sad to leave!

West country bliss

Before any details of what I enjoyed it's worth saying the owner is lovely. They're quick and detailed in communication, were thoughtful in responding to my queries and I could enjoy my holiday feeling sure anything would be addressed and sorted. Detailed instructions provided about locating the property and the welcome book even had hand drawn walking maps to guide you through local country. Overall atmosphere was refreshing. I was quickly able to relax into the idyllic country atmosphere. I stayed in garden suite 1 which is the right balance of cosy but with features that let you enjoy your surroundings, my favourite aspect being that you get patio doors which open out onto a full view of a well kept and private garden that I enjoyed morning and night from the seating provided. Garden suite 1 was small but spacious enough with its arrangements. Living room/kitchen was great, had freedom enough to have my partner and I doing things in both spaces without getting in each others way (as well as being a comfortable space for relaxing together!) Kitchen has enough easy and working appliances that left me with only a few niggles. Living room has lovely sofa that was so soft and plush and a smart tv of generous size. Bedroom was gorgeous, amazing bed that was perfect combination of firm and plush, and a well placed bedroom mirror that has convinced me I need one of my own. Bedroom has just enough room to shimmy around when you're getting ready for the day and more than enough storage with lovely wooden wardrobe and units. Bathroom is cosy but generous with size of shower sort of like a walk-in shower size but with fully closing doors - and 2 shower heads. The location is that perfect combination of feeling secluded in the country but actually connected to nearby major towns it's not isolated at all. Its right off a main road that makes Wells a straight 10 minute shoot down the road and Cheddar just under 20.

A few niggles that were brief inconveniences in that i had to ever so slightly adjust to but which didn't prevent me from enjoying the holiday - no recycling provisions in property - bit of mould in gasket and drawer of washing machine. Washing machine tumble dryer feature didnt work (however this was explained in welcome book and clothes horse provided as sub) -only small amount of cleaning spray left - some mould on shower wall. Not loads of coverage but quite noticeable. as the shower wall has a stony textured effect rather than tiles the mould is very much on surface of the wall.

Garden Suite 2

A beautiful location, perfect for us as a couple. We loved having an outside space to enjoy. It was great to enjoy the stars and watch the birds and even a bunny whilst sitting on the terrace. Lovely, clean and modern accommodation. A well-resourced kitchen, which made cooking easy. The bed was so comfortable. Good quality towels and sheets. Lovely little touches like a little snack basket and a heated blanket. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will happily return again.

The dining chairs felt a little low for the table.

Great location

The apartment had fantastic views from the living area and balcony. It was perfectly placed for Wells, Cheddar gorge, Glastonbury tor and RSPB Ham Wall to watch the winter Starling murmurating.

Great spot for hiking

Location was great for our planned hiking and visit to Wells. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of space. The host was prompt, clear and friendly on communication. Great to have the bathrobes too. Lovely shower. Easy to find. Good to have parking.

Some decor was a bit tired and needed redoing and whilst this didn't affect what we were doing, it does affect the look of the place. We mainly cooked for ourselves as we were there several nights, and would have liked a more cooperative cooker and better kitchen equipment. It's all there, just not great quality or quantity.

Exceptional

Location perfect for the hiking and cycling we had planned. Only a short drive to Wells where there are plenty of places to eat. The property had everything we needed for a couple of days away including cooking and laundry facilities, a great shower and is a warm comfortable apartment.

Gorgeous Cottage in a Great Location

Beautiful cottage with so many extra little touches to make it even more special. Really good location for exploring Wells, Wookey Hole and surrounding areas. We visited in November so did not make use of the wonderful outside space but will definitely come back for a summer break in the future. Would be a great honeymoon cottage.

quiet location, very tastful interior, very comfortable It was a last moment booking. When I asked the host to organize a bouquet flowers because it was our 50th marriage day, it was fixed immideately. And the host did not charge us for that.

Quiet and beautiful cottage within easy driving of Wells and surrounding attractions.

Beautiful and quiet location. Personal garden area (which was very pretty) and allocated parking. Wells city and many attractions in easy reach by car. Interior comfortable and tastefully decorated.

You definitely needed a car as there were no amenities within walking distance.
