Jagi Villa

Amazing private villa in the heart of Ubud. The villa is very spacious, with a beautiful outdoor kitchen and bathroom, a private pool, and a large terrace that’s perfect for relaxing. The breakfast is delicious, and the host is incredibly friendly and helpful with everything.

The staff were amazing, really genuine nice people. It was nice and homely and felt more a ‘traditional’ Indonesian villa than many of the newly built homes. The owner drove us with all our luggage on his moped so we could get a grab from the car park at the top of the road (the villa doesn’t have car access but is 5-10 min walk away to the main road where you can get taxi/ Grab) The bedroom was very nice, and we had 2 bathrooms a kitchen and a little lounge area. So based on value for money it was very good. Pool was nice too and so was the location.

If I was being picky I’d say it needs a deep clean. It isn’t dirty, but I was looking for a hairdryer and when I checked the apartment I found some drawers that had a lot of insects and ants in and looked like they hadn’t been opened in years. The plates and cutlery I wouldn’t have really recommended either as it all needed a good clean. Would be a 10/10 if a good attentive clean was taken out.

We had a wonderful stay at Jagi Villa Bali. The villa was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful greenery, and perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring Ubud. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Jagi Villa Bali, and the staff were kind and accommodating. However, there were a couple of things that could be improved. The towels did not seem very clean and could definitely be refreshed, as they looked worn and stained. Also, it would have been very helpful if the property had informed us before arrival that cars cannot access the villa directly. You either need to take a scooter or walk to reach the property, which can be difficult if you're travelling with heavy luggage. Including this information clearly in the booking details or sending it before check-in would help guests prepare in advance.

The villa was perfect for me for the week, the pool was fantastic and deep. The bathtub was lovely. It was a perfect private getaway and the hosts were very accommodating.

The breakfast options were yum but a bit limited, but that is fine considering the amount of cafes and restaurants in the immediate area.
