It was a pleasant stay at a beautiful property but beds and lighting is something that can be worked upon.

Loved the location. It was in the middle of nowhere which we liked but still was just a 20 min drive to Oban which had everything from groceries to restaurants. Constanze who met us with muffins at the start of our trip was lovely throughout. We were celebrating a birthday and she provided immediate assistance with matchsticks etc. We had a good view of the mountain from our drawing room as well.

The beds could be much better. They were spongy to begin with. We could hear people in our bedroom from their bathroom which was not pleasant as it bothered with our sleep and was privacy invasive. Also 2 out of 3 bedrooms had 2 single beds instead of a double bed. Even if you join them there will be a gap between the two. But this is something I should have checked in advance. Further the WiFi connectivity is not that great. But given it’s out in nowhere, I’ll give this a pass. Plus it boosts family time.

Something to remember so will not be forgotten

The location was excellent as was the accommodation. We had our dogs with us and the host was very welcoming, nothing was to difficult for the hosts. There were plenty of places to allow the dogs to roam freely, which mad walks very enjoyable.

There was nothing that we didn't like. Everything was positive.

Airdeny delivered a little piece of heaven!

Scenic views, warm welcome & spotlessly clean chalet. A great base from which to explore Taynuilt, Oban & the isles. Great selection of restaurant recommendations, walking maps & suggested places to visit on arrival with freshly baked muffins! Chalets are private, whilst ours wasn’t yet refurbished - it didn’t lack anything! The sounds of the birds each dawn & tawny owls calling at night were a delight!

A fantastic relaxing break and we’d definitely love to go back.

The chalet was beautifully clean with everything you need. The bath was wonderful and just what was needed after lovely long walks. Airdeny Chalets is in good spot for exploring the surrounding area. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Fantastic stay.

A mirror in the bedroom (near a plug socket) would have been useful for hair styling but not essential.

Great location, nicely situated in nature, a little off the beaten track but close to Oban (about a 20 minute drive).

The houses are a bit outdated but everything is more or less is working.

Beautiful setting, wild deer grazing outside our chalet one morning. We enjoyed our stay.

Location was very good, peaceful yet within easy driving of Oban and wonderful countryside The bed linen and towels were spotless and good quality. The chalet was very clean, and the owners welcoming. The water was really TOO hot, especially if children are using it on their own.

There is a big drainage problem just outside JM Barrie chalet which did not look good, and appeared to be a long standing problem. I understand the owners are waiting to get this fixed. Minimal, basic kitchen equipment ( no oven glove, only 2 mugs, no baking trays or oven tray. 1/2 J cloth, - took us ages to work out how to use the washing up liquid dispenser !!!)

Great place for a quiet get away

The location was quiet. The house was spotlessly clean and there was great wifi and TV channels available. Shop was close enough and we were about 25 mins from Oban.

Beautiful location, facilities and wonderful hosts!

Beautiful scenic location, clean and fully equipped chalet. A great location to enjoy the wonderful wildlife that roam freely as well as close to Oban and other towns to explore. Constanze & Robert are very friendly, helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. A lovely touch on arrival was freshly baked blueberry muffins! We will definitely have to return!

Only slight thing for us was the double bed was rather soft . Everything else was spot on. We loved it!

Weekend in Airdeny

Remote and very quiet location. Ideal base for hiking trips with plenty of beautiful views around. The Chalets (we stayed in 'Robert Burns') were basic with no unnecessary frills, but specious and very clean. The view of Ben Cruachan covered in cloud, seen from the couch, is priceless...

we took the three bedroom chalet and just amazing views all around. we had planned activities in Loch Lomond and Fort William and chose this as a central point. You are also are very close to Oban and it’s very beautiful with lots of shopping and fun.

Airdeny offers peace and tranquility.

Beautiful views from the chalets, peaceful, and near to Oban. Chalet was designed with separation between the 3 bedrooms, so private and spacious; lots of space between chalets. Well appointed kitchen. Deer came near our chalet regularly! (Night lights?) Great that it was dog friendly. Nice owners; and excellent homemade muffins to welcome us!

We would have liked a dustpan and brush; also a squeegee/dry mop for the wet-room, as the floor got soaked all the time. Outside bulb gone, but we didn't report, sorry. There isn't much in Taynuilt, and buses/trains are either infrequent or finish early, so it's best to have a car or bike (perhaps these could be available for hire?)

Best stay in the Highlands

The chalets were beautifully clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all the pans and pots one may need for cooking and baking up a feast! Our beds were super comfy and the site itself is absolutely beautiful with amazing views! Last but not least, Constanze was an amazing hostess, she made us feel welcome from the get go with homemade treats on our first day and was attentive throughout our stay. Her attention to detail and generous hospitality really made our holiday a treat, thank you!!!
