B&B Dipintodiblu'

Knowing that Naples is a busy city, always full of energy and activity, we were looking for accommodation in a quieter area. During our search, we came across B & B Dipintodiblu', located up on the hill, offering panoramic views of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. The excellent reviews about Fabrizio, his fascinating stories as a cultured man and passionate lover of his city, immediately caught our attention. These stories were shared over breakfast, accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and delicious Neapolitan pastries. We consider ourselves lucky, as every word turned out to be true, even though we arrived right in the middle of Ferragosto. Carlo took impeccable care of us throughout our stay. At the end of our stay, we also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who had just returned from his own holiday. Listening to him is a true intellectual delight. The B&B’s excellent location definitely deserves a mention: it is close to the funicular, which means you can reach the seaside in less than 10 minutes, and it is right by the bus stop for line 31. There is also a small neighborhood grocery store nearby, which is very well stocked, as well as an excellent pastry shop. Add to this the dreamlike views and the wonderful peace and quiet, and you have an ideal place to stay. Get an integrated public transport ticket and you’ll be able to travel around the entire city with ease, using all available means of transport! We considered this location our own “Km 0” in Naples, making it a perfect starting point for exploring the city.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was exactly as we had hoped, and the air conditioning was especially welcome during the exceptionally hot days of our stay.

Fabrizio made this stay! He was so welcoming from the moment I arrived, and he gave me genuinely great food recommendations around Naples. The accommodation itself is incredible, the views over the bay are out of this world. But the hospitality is what really stood out: I had a very early start to walk into the city before sunrise, and he’d left coffee out ready for me to heat up plus a few pastries “just in case,” even though I’d said I didn’t need anything. Ended up having one anyway, such a thoughtful touch. As a solo traveller I felt genuinely looked after the whole stay, nothing felt transactional.

Honestly nothing, can’t fault it.

Great hospitality, great place, great breakfast

The rooms are exceptionally clean and the view of Vesuvius and the gulf of Naples is incredible and Fabrizio is an amazing host. He is a wealth of knowledge about Naples and shares his passion for the city with everyone who stays, giving tips on what to see and how to travel. We especially enjoyed the sfogliatella he brought us for breakfast! Grazie Fabrizio!
