Only 5mins walking distance from Kintetsu Iseshi Station.
However the guest house main door only open from 4pm onwards for check in (hence no way to leave luggage before check in/after check out).
The boss Yoshi San can speak English and he also the chef for the bistro at the Level 1. The bistro decorated with full poster of 70s Western singers, and he listen to English Radio station too haha, all lovely songs!
For my 2 nights staying, he made different breakfast sandwiches, and its very delicious!
Although there are only 1 toilet and 1 bathroom, but so far when I need to use, it was available to use.
There is 1 small eatery along the journey from Kintetsu Station to the hostel, serving fresh made dumpling, 6 big dumpling at ¥600 only, very delicious.
Most of the restaurant, convenience stall and bus terminal are located over at JR Iseshi Station.
If you are travelling around Ise or Toba, can consider to stay at this budget yet serving with nice breakfast, and a warm stay hostel.

I really love Ise town. Strange is the female only hostel is run by an old deaf man. But everything about the stay was great!

Very quaint themed hostel a few minutes from the train station! The beds are big and super clean, and the diner is a very cute space. The owner serves complimentary breakfast which was absolutely delicious, and also runs a mini diner during dinner. It was a very calm and pleasant stay in the adorable city of Ise

I don’t understand why this hostel has such high ratings, which led me to book it. But with my experience there, I certainly wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it.
Pros:
- Cheap price that includes breakfast.
- Living quarter upstairs is very clean and everything works
Cons:
- No washlets anywhere in the building.
- Many reviews mentioned how nice and accommodating the owner is. My own experience was to the contrary: I did NOT receive any hospitality, attentiveness, generosity, compassion, flexibility.
- Not great location and not close to any good restaurants or cafes or hangout places.
If all you want is a clean place to shower and sleep, then this hostel will do. But for anything more than that, you’d have better luck somewhere else in Ise.
