Casa Wanted Orsova

We stayed at Wanted Resort in Orșova at the end of August 2026, and my mother and I had an amazing time here. A huge part of that was Alis, our host, who was phenomenal. Calling her simply a host almost understates it — she was more like a personal welcome committee. She helped us with our arrival and check-in, used her own car to take us shopping, took me to the local pharmacy when I needed medication, and kept us updated about city water-maintenance shutoffs and other local administrative issues that, as visitors, we otherwise would never have known about. The location itself is also a major advantage. You are literally on the Danube. The water taxi and the main tourist attractions done by boat were able to pick us up directly from the resort’s own dock, and Alis also helped us arrange the bookings. That made everything incredibly convenient. I had read some negative reviews before our stay, and after actually spending several days here, I have to say that many of them simply did not reflect the experience we had. Are there things that still need maintenance? Yes. But then again, there probably always will be. There is cleaning staff here every morning, the rooms are clean, there is hot water, and you are staying directly on the Danube. Literally. For us, Wanted Resort delivered exactly what we wanted: a clean and comfortable stay, direct access to the Danube, easy access to the boat attractions, and exceptional hospitality. We loved it here. Alis was amazing, and I would absolutely come back.

I have found this building not on the first try. It's necessary to drive slowly and read signboards. As for location it's one of the picturesque views I have ever seen. I recommend to see this part of Danube and spend it at least two-three days. By the way this hotel provides possibilities for fishing.
