Park Inn by Radisson Göttingen

The staff was excellent and very helpful, the breakfast was top notch and a very diverse set of choices. The room was comfortable and cool but I arrived in the middle of the heat wave so I had to ask for an extra fan which the staff promptly provided. The location is quite convenient - 5 mins by bus to the Center of the city.

The AC was not super effective - it definitely worked but wasn’t cooling the rooms enough especially because the glass windows were leading to a greenhouse effect. But this was fine after I got the extra tower fan.

The family room we got was actually two separate rooms: living and bedroom with their own A/C (actually working, which was a pleasant surprise). Beds were comfy, two flat screen TVs, the minibar stocked and included in the room price. Check-in, although via appliance, the personnel on premises offered guidance even without asking them for help. Breakfast was good with more options than similarly priced hotels.

Parking guidance wasn't there, only later I saw possibility for underground parking (I think, haven't checked). The windshield was full with plant material falling from trees.

-price vs what you get for it comparing to other hotels in Göttingen, -extra payment 7 Euro for sauna, -30 min walk to the city center, -when asked at reception for a roll of toilet paper employee asked if there was no paper in the room, which was for me not very comfortable to answer (einfach peinlich). Maybe he wanted to only understand if room service forgot it, but to have to justify the reason why a guest needs an extra (just only 1) toilet paper roll was not very elegant and professional in my opinion. -breakfast apart from carrot juice wasn't anything special
