Great location, very clean, amazing attentive staff!

No a/c in the rooms, but I did good with the ceiling fan!

Claudia makes you feel looked after like you were family. A really calm oasis in the bustle of Cali. Spotlessly clean(room cleaned and bed changed everyday). I had concerns about safety in Cali after doing reading online before travelling but felt totally safe in this area. Had no problems whatsoever. Just don’t walk around looking at Google maps on your phone making yourself a target and take an uber home when travelling from other areas of Cali at night. I found San Antonio so charming and walked around alone even at night there without any problem. I would definitely stay here again. A very tasty breakfast and laundry service also available at a very reasonable price. I attended a salsa school(salsa pura) which was 3 minutes walk away and La Topa was 5 minutes in an Uber. Perfect location.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of San Antonio, the oldest neighborhood in Cali. Casa Ruta Sur is within walking distance from multiple, varied restaurants, bakeries, neighborhood grocery stores, drug stores, etc. Our room had a bathroom inside, comfortable clean beds, which were made daily in the morning. We enjoyed a warm breakfast with yummy scrambled eggs with toast of local bread, different fruit juice every day, great Colombian coffee and fruit. The neighborhood is quite but the hostel is even quieter, you only hear the birds in the inner courtyard. The hostess was very gracious and accommodating in coordinating taxi/Uber pickups, directions to locations in Cali, etc.

That I didn't have more time to stay longer at Casa Ruta Sur.

Wonderful authentic Columbian Casa. Owner and staff so friendly. The owner went out of her way to help with a flight delay and car rental cancellation despite the language barrier. Just an amazing, hospitable person and she leaves a fantastic, warm memory of San Antonio, Cali.
