Great love to detail and very communicative and helpful staff! We took a surf lesson with Jonas which was lots of fun!

The road can be very loud as there is no closed windows and the room is outside. Also, the communal fridge was very dirty.

A beautiful, quiet oasis in Zipolite

Beautiful house and rooms, truly a tropical oasis. A few steps from the beach, but quiet and peaceful, and cool under the palm thatch roof. I loved reading or just lazing in my hammock on the terrace and hearing the hens scratching about next door. There are various restaurants and bars close by, and the centre of Zipolite is a short walk away along the beach. Corinna was super helpful and it was a pleasure to meet her.

Very good hotel with a very bad booking option

The hotel itself is very interesting and have a very good vibe, all rooms are like in separate terraces and have there own sitting area, a hammock and all arranged with touch and taste. The hostess is very friendly and helpful, its a pleasure to deal with her.

But not be mistaken if you rent an economy room with private bathroom. It is a tragedy. The room itself very small and stuffy, 2 fans provided but they help a little and make terrible noise. The bathroom is as written in ground floor, but not locked, so anybody can enter it - maybe nobody use it, maybe not, but to leave there my personal things I'd rather not. The toilet is in opposite side of the yard and without a sink - all that makes the usage both of them very inconvenient. So I'd recommend think twice before booking this kind of room. The hostess said, that there is only one room of this type, other have private bathrooms, but unfortunately other options were not available at the time of booking

Absolutely amazing host. She helped us from the moment of first contact with truly any of our travel needs. An oasis built with dedication by expats throughout the years. It has charming, relaxing ambience, it is clean on spot. Shop, local comedores right by, beach 50m to walk. Perfectly located on eastern tip of Zipolite beach next to Playa de Amor.

Lovely stay in Zipolite

The location was the best: not too far from the beach but also in a very calm street. The beds very comfortable places to eat. The staff are very friendly and respectable. They see you still in your room and let you that they will come back to clean. Thank you Corinna for the lovely stay and visit! You are an incredible host! My partner definitely loved the theme of the rooms for our escape.

The only complaint was the mosquitos that would get inside the beds, even if the small net prevents them going in. But it was mostly due to leaving the nets open from moving around the bed. So keep your eyes out for mosquitoes at night while sleeping. Use repellent if necessary.

Disappointing

Very friendly owner and close to the beach (only a 2-minute walk).

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt since they had a hurricane a few weeks before we got there that damaged their rooms on the upper floor, but the room we had on the bottom floor was really unacceptable lodging from our perspective. (And we couldn't get any internet at all.) It felt sort of like a dungeon, and it was set up very strangely where you had to go outside your door to get to the bathroom. We were plagued by mosquitos and had ants in our bed. Looks like nothing was updated for years. We always try to book places that are rated over 9.0 or higher, so I was trying to figure out how this place got a high rating, and I think it's because the Owner is extremely friendly and takes a lot of time to explain everything and make recommendations in the area. But I have to be honest that this was the worst place we stayed in years (and we travel over 50% of the time.) Perhaps the upstairs rooms are a lot nicer, but I would recommend you avoid the room on the downstairs right side (when you walk in).

The atmosphere and the location was great. I really liked how it has been designed with the top rooms having a real house in the tree feeling. The hostess was really nice and helpful. The beach is few steps away.

Great place, host and location

Corinna was an excellent host, very interested in making your stay as comfortable as possible. My room was great, lots of ventilation, the bed had a mosquito net, the terrace was super confortable to hang out in, with hammocks and chairs, the animals (several cats and dogs) roaming the hotel were super cute and friendly. The location was perfect for me, only a few meters from the beach, in a quiet zone. There's great restaurants nearby (I recommend Caracol Surf).

I would have loved to stay more days. The lightning of the room was better on one side, I would consider adding another lamp on the far end.

Two steps away from the beach. Beautiful garden and rooms. very friendly host. cute dogs and cats as roommates :)

Very confusing about the payment methods. Accepts only bank transfers, which wasn't possible for me at the time- I had to be a bit pushy to at least be able to pay via paypal. It would be great if that gets adjusted for customers' comfort to simply be able to pay through booking.com. This is mainly to inform future guests to be prepared, as for me the whole process caught me lightly off guard.
