Le lieux est magique dans une ruelle privatisée. Un calme absolu et un accueil très chaleureux par nos hôtes qui ont pris beaucoup de temps pour nous faire partager leurs passions: atelier de création de chapeaux / modiste… peinture et sculpture.

De locatie ligt in het centrum van Roanne maar je merkt er niets van. Parkeren kan op eigen terrein maar met een vouwwagen heb je wel stuurmanskunst nodig. De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en bereid om alles voor je te doen. Het ontbijt is goed. Wij kregen een gratis upgrade van de kamer en een rondleiging door hun artelier.
Er viel ons niets tegen.

Les Ateliers d'Art are the workshop and home of a hatter and an artist. They have cleverly converted an old storeroom into a charming apartment with sitting area, simple kitchenette good bathroom and bedroom. Its is slightly warren like, but serves purpose as it is right in the middle of Roanne with all the facilities of a major town one would expect.
My welcome was impressive as I had become exasperated with the road closures and one way streets and pedestrianisation of the city centre. I was calmly talked in and my host was waiting in the road for me. Breakfast is wonderful, delivered in two baskets it is everything and more that one could want for. All in all, a good stop-over in a lovely city.
Nothing serious, I could not open a window for fresh air. The rooms are naturally cool, so in spite of the raging heat of 2025, all was well.
