This place was perfect for me. Central, quiet location near the port, very kind and attentive staff, spotlessly clean, complementary tea and coffee, even a free bicycle available to explore Imabari. Futon bed was very comfortable too.
If you're looking for a modern hotel experience, this may not be the place for you. But if you enjoy Showa-era charm, I'm sure you will find Komecho Ryōkan excellent value.
