Hotel Zenit Budapest Palace

My family and I are returning guests in the Zenit Hotel. The staff is very welcoming, the location, cleanliness and the space is exceptional.

The hotel was beautiful, very welcoming staff who were helpful and polite. The room was a good size and included a fridge. Great convenient location. Great shower and air conditioning.

The atmosphere in the lobby is welcoming and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Within walking distance of the underground and many attractions.

Nothing could have been better. It was an exceptionally fantastic stay.

The hotel has a great location. Many sights and the city center are within easy walking distance. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and one of our rooms was even ready earlier than expected. The room sizes were also good. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

I booked Zenit Budapest Palace for a group of 10 friends (5 couples), as I had stayed here a few years ago and remembered it positively. Unfortunately, the hotel no longer lives up to the standard of a 4-star property. The beds were uncomfortable, and the cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired. In several rooms, the toiletries were mixed up, some had no shampoo, others had double conditioner or missing shower gel. It felt careless and inconsistent. One major letdown was that a friend accidentally left a dress behind, and the hotel was unable (or unwilling) to send it back, even though she offered to cover all shipping costs in advance. That level of service is simply unacceptable. The rooms are also very noisy, we could hear other guests quite clearly and the views are either into the inner courtyard (which was nice) or directly facing another hotel. Most concerning, however, was that the hotel was apparently hacked, and I received months of spam and phishing emails containing all my personal data from the booking. When I called the hotel after receiving some of these messages, they confirmed the incident. Yet there was no proactive communication, no apology, and no information provided to affected guests. This lack of transparency is deeply troubling. Overall, for the price, this hotel is not worth it anymore. I wouldn’t book it again.
