Nice and conveniently located hotel for a stay in the area.

Very nice, authentic German "Gasthoff" with easy parking and very friendly staff.

The only thing what might be an issue, is the small (but loud) creek at the back of the hotel. Bring some earplugs, would be my advice.

Comfortable rooms, rural rustic style, clean and renovated in last 5-7 years. Ample space. Cooling will be needed moving

Friendly staff, very clean facilities, spacious, renovated in last 5 -7 years or so. Able to open windows all the way, free car parking available in front of hotel-> if all taken able to park on public car park over night. Buffet breakfast, ample choice and fresh food. Rustic country hotel in/near Black Forest.

No air conditioning/No ceiling fans, we arrived on a 38 degree day. The rooms were cooking hot and even opening windows over night did not assist with relieving stuffiness and heat. Many rural properties don’t have any cooling options which appears to become a bigger issue now with hotter summers and weeks of heat wave. Front facing rooms on street on a hill—> traffic, though not a busy road , becomes quite loud. Rooms facing to back of property don’t have this problem

Good choice for families en route to/from Italy or exploring the region

The family room in the building we stayed in was spacious and spotless, with bright and modern furnishings - including electric shutters on all windows. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with tips about the area.

Sadly no air conditioning and as our room was next to a rather busy street (surprisingly, as the village is super quiet!) leaving the balcony door open wasn’t really an option.

Superb Stay in Lauf

Beautiful location, lovely property with good outdoor parking. The proprietor is wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent.

The towels could be more plush, but that’s almost inconsequential.

Incredible service, location, breakfast, and rooms!

My travel partners and I loved the room, the staff, and the breakfast. The staff were very patient and kind with us as my German is not fluent, and they provided excellent service above and beyond what we expected. The room was very large and seemed brand-new. The best part of the Gasthaus for my group was the breakfast! There were many options and the staff made fresh eggs to order. We highly recommend staying here.

The friendly owner gave us a very warm welcome in his small, family-runned hotel. The room we booked was a fantastic, spacious and very very clean familyroom for 2 adults and 3 children. Breakfast was fantastic, everything was available and even more. A charger for electric cars is around the corner. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Great Family Room

Great family rooms for 5 people.

Hotel is off the path a bit and for the price point they didn’t have ability to serve dinner or a restaurant nearby. I’d like it if they offered to make a reservation for you somewhere close. Not knowing the meal situation we drove around to multiple booked or closed establishments until we found something.
