It was very convenient for out stay. We flew over for the Wolverhampton match. So it was nice and easy to get to from the airport and from the match

Great hotel, would recommend

The suite we stayed in was very modern, clean and comfortable. The reception area is lovely however we didn't use the bar or restaurant.

There was only one member of staff on reception when we checked in so we waited about 10 minutes. The room has a mini bar but no price list, if any thing is complimentary it would be nice to know or a price of the few items available. The lighting in the room is not very bright and it takes a second to work out how it works on the control panel.

Great hotel in good location to new street..clean & comfortable...more staff needed to run smoothly

Great range of facilities...clean and great location.... What let this hotel down was lack of staff.1 person covering bar meant long wait times ...2 staff in restaurant for a sat night when people dining pre shows etc ...resulted in slow service. Fish n chips ordered for one member of group was inedibile..no fish just all crispy batter .

I didn’t want to moan to much as it was Xmas day and it wasn’t thr fault of the receptionist.

The staff were helpful and it was nice and clean

The room had no heating so I was cold all night. The duvet wasn’t the best. The bathroom’s fan wasn’t working and also didn’t like the door to the bathroom as can see people on the toilet.

Nice hotel

The staff is friendly. The room is clean, there are plenty of towels, and a hairdryer. The restaurant is excellent, and the breakfast offers a variety to suit every taste.

The price was quite high, so I missed disposable slippers and robes in my room. The room was chilly. We tried turning the temperature up, but it didn't help.

Was attending a conference in Birmingham. The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was great and overall nice hotel.

I was at the hotel for two night and my bed wasn’t made! I’d have thought that would be one of the obvious things to do. The extractor fan in the bathroom was full of fluff. Made me wonder what was actually clean!

Comfortable and convenient location close to Millenium Point

The staff were very helpful, with decent knowledge of the local area. It was a comfortable room conveniently located close to Millennium Point and just a quick walk away from most of the stations.

One thing I noticed every day that seemed more common than in other hotels was that the elevators took a very long time to get to the desired floor. Rather than going direct and rerouting, they seems to try to meet all demands at once, meaning the lifts were packed and nobody was getting to their floor.

Smashing stay. Would recommend.

Nice room( executive), good amount of space. Clean with good size bed for 2 which was very comfortable. Excellent shower size & power. We were on 7th floor which was quiet, so slept well without issue. Nice little touch of leaving us a little box of chocolates/note. Breakfast although not a massive selection still plenty to chose from & tasty ,the area you could sit in is well spread out making our breakfast experience peaceful. All staff were polite & friendly nothing seemed to much trouble. There were afew security around including on door at night to insure that only those booked in the hotel could enter. Overall we were very happy with stay and would stay again. Thankyou Clayton for a smashing experience.

Only little niggle if I was being picky, would be to have had a disposable shower cap, toothbrush/toothpaste set for over night stay. Hotel is about 10minute walk from station just to be aware of but we were happy with this.

Weekend away. Shopping and relation.

Fantastic location and comfortable rooms. Staff were excellent. Great for visiting the bullring shopping centre. Check-in was handled very well even though there was a large number of guests checking out, causing issues. A big thank you to the guest services manager who dealt with us calmly in an excellent, polite way. Beds and overall sleep was top notch.

The TV had a poor connection, and channels were random. The tv guide didn't work. Might be worth an upgrade.

Great hotel as a base. Perfect stay.

The room was absolutely spotless. Lovely touch was the Balloon, card and chocolates for my daughter's birthday (I did actually get charged for the balloon, which wasn't requested as an extra but never the less). For a city centre the room was so lovely and quiet at night, expect for a few guests the Saturday night coming in next door, it didn't spoil it. Bar area is really nice and we where given 3 complementary drinks (3 of us stayed). Room was turned down for our return on the Saturday afternoon which was a nice surprise. Excellent base for our weekend to an event at the NEC. Bullring shopping centre is a 4-5 mins walk for shopping, food etc.

wi-fi wasn't great and the Smart TV functions didn't work but didn't spoil our stay. Not a critic of the hotel at all - the city isn't the best I've ever visited and in a lot of parts is grubby and intimidating unfortunately, especially at night,

Not as good as it used to be

Love that the bedroom is always spotlessly clean. Breakfast provided good but no one behind counter checking on refills. Man kept having to come out to see what was needed

Got there & we had supposedly been upgraded , to a family room. Definitely did not want this as was a couples stay & spare bed made the room look small. I had ordered a balloon. No balloon. Went to reception. Swapped rooms & they put balloon in but all a bit late. In the bar, there was one lady serving, changing barrels & serving afternoon tea. So wait was a while to be served. Not her fault!! At breakfast there was no one to give your room number to. After a few mins we just walked in & sat down. Breakfast selection was fab but no one helping to keep hot selection topped up. Definitely more staff needed Made us question coming again.

A satisfactory stay for a very fair price but breakfast did disappoint.

Room was comfortable, well maintained and decorated, overall very good value for money. Staff were civil and respectful. Location was ideal for our purposes, we were mainly on a shopping trip.

The breakfast was not 4-star quality, egg was rubbery, hash browns seemed slightly undercooked and the bacon was variable. Choice of non-cooked items was limited. The floor in our room was gritty and felt like it hadn't been very well vacuumed.

Difficult to write a review without using the word "disappointing"

Great breakfast, great breakfast staff. Good location.

Hand wash in the shower, body wash by the bathroom sink - go figure on that one. The sealant in the shower is starting to deteriorate and turn black. The TV remote has a mind of its own. Press mute, and it changes the channel; some say life is too predictable! The switch for the lighting is overengineered, resulting in a walk down to reception at night to find out how to turn the lighting off. Yes, I called reception, no, there wasn't an answer. On check-in, nobody listens to or checks the booking. I thought that pre-check-in would solve all this, but think again. I was asked for payment. I had already paid at pre-check-in, confirmed that there was one person in the room, and then attempted to charge two breakfasts. The check-in does set the tone for the stay. The room has odd features from the past. A mysterious volume control in the bathroom, a bewildering array of ports for all your 1990s equipment. All you want is a USB port! This is a relatively new hotel.

Room, breakfast and general cleanliness were all very good

Door lock on Room 708 was sticky, did mention it to front desk, but they didn't really understand the issue. Not a deal breker, just if hadn't solved it myself, it would have rendered the room unlocked.
