The hotel is just a dream!!! So stylish and modern, ideally embedded to nature. Several pools (three) were great! Outdoor pool area was fantastic.
Everything was perfect, only the gym might have been bigger and with more equipment. Basically - if talk about the weights, only one person could be training at one time.

This is the most gorgeous property, not really what you would choose if you want to have an immersive “Douro Valley Wine Country” experience to be clear, as it’s a bit remote. But as a two or three day “spa getaway” it’s absolutely incredible! The rooms have panoramic views of the Douro River, and are beautifully designed— the pools, spa, staff are all fabulous, breakfast was gorgeous, the whole experience was top notch for a relaxing break from the world! And the river cruise experience (2 hours) was amazing as well. Highly recommend!

The indoor pool is extremely dirty, and the windows are always dirty. Spa services are unreasonably expensive without professional assistance. The Michelin-starred restaurant on the hotel premises requires a minimum 15% tip, which is absurd. All staff expect tips for any interaction with them.
