Thin walls - can hear every word from the room next door and every step on the stairs outside

The host was lovely and the house was beautiful and in a lovely rural setting. There is a communal kitchen for guest use. Guernika is a lively town worth visiting.
We booked for a full bed but got twin beds. We booked late so perhaps that was the reason why. Sound separation between rooms was non existent.
