Overall, we had a good experience. The neighborhood and amenities are very nice. The view from the second-story balcony for Independence Day fireworks is spectacular. The house is comfortable for six to seven adults.
Communication was stellar until check-in time. Bill and Vanessa were very good via email and text before our arrival. Bill called us at around 1 pm to welcome us and tell us that "the house is ready". Check-in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm and found the cleaning crew was still there. We had to wait outside until 3:45 pm in 96-degree heat until they were done. Vanessa texted, "We will get you a gift card to the beach club grill for the inconvenience". The next morning, I texted Vanessa asking for an extra parking pass. I never heard back from her or Bill. No gift card. No parking pass. A few minor concerns with the property: nasty stains on the carpeting near the entry, GFCI outlets needing to be reset more than once, only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and a nest of red wasps living under the second-story balcony.
Yes, these are minor complaints in a world rife with many bigger issues. However, we were disappointed enough to share these concerns.
We would certainly return to this area and neighborhood, but not this property.
