Hostal Cuzco Salamanca

La persona que nos recepcionó, Jaime, superamable y muy simpático. Sólo estuvimos una noche, pero todo perfecto.

Jamie was helpful, very warm and accommodated our 0015 hour late arrival. He also called a taxi for us when we left. The room was comfortable and our bed was very big. The location was great and easy to find. Regarding the location, it was a short distance to the main attractions. The prices of the nearby restaurants were more reasonable here too. Jaime was more than willing to direct us to a nearby laundry-mat when we asked. We visited Salamanca for four days after walking the Camino Frances. What I really wanted to do was to swim. The San Jose Pool was about a 20 minute walk. On June 6 the outdoor pool opened up. So I enjoyed that twice and with a senior’s discount. We also enjoyed the parque de jesuitos and a contemporary art place ( free) in the old jail nearby. This place had a very nice cafeteria that we recommend.

In the morning we were awoken more than once to the sound of bottles crashing. Perhaps a garbage truck was picking them up. Also there was a little awkwardness of getting into the main door when Jaimie wasn’t there. Someone else was there and hadn’t let us in so we had to buzz two or three times. The wait was probably only five minutes. Generally though, he was very prompt.

Um local perfeito para economizar e descansar.

Não tem estacionamento. Precisa pagar pra deixar o carro no rotativo na rua. Mas tudo bem. Não é difícil, mas tem que pagar.
