About this house rental
In the lovingly restored, overgrown with wild wine older farmhouse, overlooking the castle Falkenfels, you can enjoy quiet and relaxing days. Falkenfels is 18 km from Straubing, where the foothills of the Bavarian Forest merge into the Danube plain. It has a castle, a pond, a children's playground, a village shop, a bank, a bakery, a library and hiking trails.
The house has a living area of 120 sqm. On the ground floor there is a living room with tiled stove, then there is a small kitchen with dishwasher. From the kitchen you go into a large earth cellar built into the mountain. The bathroom, with 13 sqm area, was the old stable and has a bath, shower toilet, sink and coal stove.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. One with 2 beds, the other with a single bed and a room with adjoining bedroom with a bed 140 cm wide. No water connection.
Around the house are the guest meadows with garden furniture, a vegetable garden, fruit trees and a gazebo available. Here you can see up to Gäuboden.

Liebevoll und authentisch eingerichtet, als wäre man bei einer Großmutter in den 60-er Jahren– aber mit Geschirrspüler und WLAN!
Viel Platz auf zwei Etagen, Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne, dazu ein Erdkeller-„Kühlhaus“.
Ein Laube, ein Grillplatz und eine Wiese unterm Apfelbaum zum Lesen, ein Zugang zum Badeweiher – der hatte im Juni gerade die richtige Badetemperatur! Die Hähne melden sich urlaubsfreundlich eher nachmittags, diverse Katzen sehen nach, wer hier neues rumläuft, die Johannisbeeren mussten auch noch gepflückt werden….
Stimmt – ja, das ist nicht sachlich, sondern wir waren beide einfach begeistert! Wir haben uns in den achten Tagen hier wirklich fast paradiesisch wohlgefühlt, der Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr nett und unkompliziert.
(Für uns eine echte Alternative zu ländlichen Urlauben in Umbrien, der Provence oder Madeira –) wir planen jetzt schon unseren nächste Auszeit in Falkenfels! – Martin / Andrea / Hürth - NRW

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem bezaubernd urigen Bauernhaus verbracht. Zu Beginn war es im Haus noch ein wenig kalt (Kälteeinbruch Anfang April), aber mit den vorhandenen elektrischen Radiatoren und dem Ofen in der Wohnstube hatten wir es schnell gemütlich warm. Das Haus liegt idyllisch am Badeweiher zu Füßen der Burg und die Umgebung ist herrlich für Spaziergänge und Wanderungen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und angenehm.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem authentischen Haus. Dank der warmen Witterung im Juli konnten wir im Weiher schwimmen. Sehr ruhige Lage mit tollem Ausblick.
