The food was fantastic, the room was super comfy, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The guides really know their stuff — Jason, thank you! 🙏🏼 We saw so many animals and had an amazing experience. On our last morning, it was cold and rainy. But we were well prepared and equipped with hot-water bottles and rain ponchos from the Hotel!!! So even in bad weather, we were perfectly equipped and somehow the rain made the game drive even more fun! 🐘🦓🦒 Overall, a fantastic stay and an unforgettable experience!
Everything perfect 👌🏼

My stay at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, and particularly at Dwyka Tented Lodge, was one of the true highlights of my time in South Africa. Even the drive into the reserve in my rented SUV was mind-blowing. The further I left the outside world behind, the more I began to understand just how vast, remote and special this place is. By the time I reached Dwyka, the journey itself had already become part of the experience. I had chosen Dwyka Tented Lodge, and it was absolutely the right choice. The setting is extraordinary – secluded, peaceful and surrounded by an overwhelming landscape. The tents are exceptionally comfortable, beautifully designed and luxurious, while still giving you the feeling of being immersed in nature. One of the biggest surprises was the food. The quality was outstanding. To experience cuisine of this standard in what feels like the middle of nowhere is remarkable. Add excellent South African wines, the wonderful outdoor terrace and the surrounding silence, and dinner becomes an experience in itself. What made my stay particularly memorable, though, were the people. My ranger was knowledgeable, incredibly patient and passionate about the reserve. During the day we explored the wildlife and landscape together, and at night we even spent time observing the stars. It felt personal rather than like simply going on a series of game drives. Sanbona is not a zoo, and it is not the Kruger National Park. If the only objective is to see the greatest possible number of animals, there are other destinations. Sanbona offers something different: space, wilderness, silence and the experience of seeing animals within an enormous natural landscape. For anyone travelling around Cape Town and the Winelands, I can wholeheartedly recommend Sanbona. You do not necessarily have to get on another plane and fly north to have an extraordinary safari experience !

It was very clean and make you so comfortable
The value was very high and the activities were not lots. For example the outside dinner around the fire is done on rotation with the inside. So one day out and the next is inside. Our day was inside so we didn’t enjoy that dinner. The nature of the place should be completely different from the city and that what we really missed. Another point the taste of food was ok but not really excellent. !!
