The room was clean and very accessible to the centre of Akureyri. However the layout of the room was a little off with the WC separated from the shower on either sides of the bed.

We stayed at several locations while visiting Iceland and this is the only place that offered a wake-up call if there were Northern Lights sightings (unfortunately didn’t happen for us). The coffeemaker in our room was not working and they were very quick to come and replace it. We had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel one night which was excellent. Very convenient walking distance to the town area.

    The only drawback was parking.

Last minute room was very expensive (***) and didn't even have breakfast included. Arrived after 21 PM and check out tine 11 AM, asked politely for 12 AM but was refused. Outrageous service.
