Great stay!

Really beautiful heritage property that is very well maintained. The staff are always around cleaning and helping people. We had a comfortable stay here. Loved the spacious rooms and bathrooms. Showers were great with very hot water and good water pressure. The rooms had fans and Air Con both. We felt safe here as two women traveling on our own. They provided laundry services for us as well with quick turn around time. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and had great breakfasts and dinners up there.

The wifi was really poor in our room. We struggle with trying to get good service and could really only get good wifi on the rooftop terrace.

A lovely hotel, full of character and in a brilliant location. The rooftop restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very accommodating. Very good value for money - especially if you also book the chauffeur.

This is a heritage property, providing good exposure to foreign visitors.

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The chef went out of their way to prepare special dishes.

Great hotel designed in a traditional mogul style

Enjoyed the mogul theme design of the hotel which we preferred to the rather corporate approach of the normal hotel chains. Nice bedroom with Balcony overlooking an inner courtyard with fountains etc. The evening meal and breakfast on the rooftop restaurant were excellant. With chef making great spicy omelettes.

We were there for a week and loved every minute of it.

What an amazing building, the decor was just out of this world. It was the most unusual hotel I have ever stayed in and we all just loved it. The staff were fab and looked after us all. The restaurant which was opened aired was well laid out and was a pleasure just to sit in. It has a good selection on the menu and the meals that we had were delicious. The staff were ever helpful and looked after us well.

We loved this hotel, well done keep it up and don’t let it fall into disrepair.

Great Quirky Heritage Hotel

This is a beautiful, quirky heritage hotel with fabulously extravagant decor. The food was great and the staff very welcoming

We were in one of the suites which was very spacious and had 2 balconies. There was a sound (we think aircon) that did disturb our sleep a little. We did mention it when we left and staff were unaware.

The hotel I nicely decorated with the Rajasthan theme. The food is good specially in the restaurant.

First I was assigned a room right on the floor where their kitchen and restaurant was. So there was non stop traffic. I told them that I am a light sleeper and won’t be able to sleep. Then they assigned wrong room,not sure intentionally or unintentionally which was not fair to us. The first night we were in a room which was totally bad, small, dusty and stuffy. The entire room was occupied by bed, the ac was making loud noise every 10 minutes and the bright corridor light was coming in the room. I was not able to sleep the whole night. The next morning at 7, I requested to change the room as it was not what I had paid for. Luckily they changed the room and this was much better than before.

Charm and character - as good as the photos!

Its charm and character are as good as all the photos, loved all the color and decor. In a quiet dead end street of Jaipur away from all the craziness. The rooftop restaurant was lovely and relaxing, enjoyed our tandoori veg and non veg options. Breakfast OK, for our 2 nights the egg and dosa station with fresh, cook to order options, were delicious. Super clean, efficient service. Great shower. Pool looked great, shame we did not allow time to use it plus nights and mornings were a little cold. Our rate included 8 hours of local touring, excellent idea and our private driver Manu was very helpful, thank you!

Great hotel, highly recommended

We had a lovely stay at Umaid Bhawan and overall it was a great experience. The hotel has beautiful traditional charm, a warm atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. When we first arrived, we were given a very small room — around 18 m² — even though the room we booked on Booking.com was listed as 28 m². The reception staff initially insisted that the smaller room was correct and said they use different photos in the listing. However, after I pointed out the clear size difference and that the room did not match the booking, they agreed to move us. We were then given the room we originally booked, which was much bigger, far nicer, and made a huge difference to our stay. Once settled in the correct room, everything was wonderful. The space was comfortable, clean, and full of character. Despite the initial hiccup, the rest of our stay was excellent, and we truly enjoyed the hospitality and atmosphere of Umaid Bhawan. I would recommend it — just make sure to double-check your room on arrival.

Amazing character hotel. Unlike some character hotels you don’t give up functionality as this has both. Food great and service great. Good value for money considering the hotel, facilities and service.

As common here the electrics are worrying. Sockets that plugs don’t fit in properly especially the international ones. For the cost of replacing the sockets it’s crazy to have these.

The room was nice and comfortable with traditional decor. No complaints about the room really.

The food prices were frankly ridiculous and shocking. We ordered food once and the taste was very mediocre for the price you pay. The evening entertainment at the rooftop is a joke and extremely poor quality , yet they expect a tip out of you. Another word of caution .sometimes the hotel arranges chauffer driven cars. While the service rate itself is reasonable, the hotel driver push you to shop at their recommended shops where they get a commission for bringing in customers. They usually scam you specially if they know you live abroad. In such a shop we ended up paying at least 5 times more for things that are available at the local market at a fraction of the price we paid that we found out later unfortunately. The hotel driver also push you to take his recommended guides at tourist attractions for a hiked up price . Please check the government regulated guide rates before committing . Do NOT visit stores recommended by the hotel . Do your research, compare prices , check online reviews. We learnt the hard way .

Fortuante that we only stay for 2 nights

It has the retro hippy vibe, As mentioned in the hotel name, it is a heritage styled (not real). The roof top restaurant is nice to have a simple meal in good weather night. Occasionally it has traditional dance performance.

Cleanliness is a major issue. You need to wear slippers all the time or else you will have black bottom fleet. Our room is on the first level, not only that it has no view, it has a big generator right outside of our windows. Lucky that there was no power outage during our stay, or else........ I would pay a little extra to stay is a more reputable hotel. BTW, there is nothing outside the hotel/motel. No supermarket, restaurant, ATM. Nothing at all except cars parked on the road side.
