The room was beautiful. It was so close to town which meant we could walk to most places. The view was amazing.
My only issue was the bed was a little hard for me.

The hotel is very well placed in the center of the Port Douglas main street and commercial area. It is walking distance to many excellent bars, restaurants and tourist visiting places.
The most disappointing aspect which really weren't made aware of is that is no elevator and rooms above ground level are only accessible by steep and not very "user friendly" stairs. We were on the top (third) level and access was very difficult. I should point out that my wife and I are both in our eighties with leg problems. I would not recommend this hotel to any one with similar issues. Absolutely perfect for people who are young and fit.
