The location is great especially if you come by train. I loved all the subtle funny details and the literature theme throughout the hotel. Our room also had a balcony which was a bonus we hadn't expected, this was very nice. The room was quiet and the beds were very comfy.
The breakfast was somewhat underwhelming, especially the scrambled eggs that were watery and didn't taste like much. The bacon was also very unevenly cooked.

Quirky, interesting and comfortable. Eclectic collection of furnishings, plenty to gawp at. Lovely rooftop terrace for having breakfast or drinks in good weather. Bigger than you imagine it will be!
The restaurant food was ok - you might want to go further for special meals. The breakfast however was fantastic.

This was our 4th stay in the hotel - which says a lot. Love its uniqueness and the public spaces. Perfect location in town.
The shower cubicle was tiny and the water temperature in it was very sporadic. No view whatsoever from the room and it was very dark as so little light came into the room.

We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the room the entire environment and the sauna. We loved the history.
The unique character of the history of socialism, and the books and decoration.
