Nice hotel with some caveats...

Prime location in bournemouth. Nice hotel with good facilities , friendly staff , large room.with balcony , needs new carpets and a paint job throughout to take it to another level , was good value for money overall.

On site parking impossible as so full. Which is OK because street parking charges right outside the hotel are less than the price the hotel wants to charge. In this case I saved £7 by not using the parking space that they weren't able to provide. Serious gymgoers beware. The gym is actually in another hotel, swimming pool , squash courts all great and an excellent sauna. For the rest there are some cardio machines, good ones. For the rest they dumped a pile of very small weights in a corner..literally...along with a deflated exercise ball.... So considering my two main priorities in a hotel are parking facilties and the fitness centre, this is disappointing

Had a lovely stay with friends and family celebrating my 60th birthday.

The breakfast was lovely ,could have been a bit hotter but wouldn’t stop me returning, lovely hotel all round , good value for money .

Lovely place on the seafront. Large rooms and huge bed.

We didn't eat here but there seemed to be a lot of friendly efficient staff. The room was a good size, with lots of storage space, and the bed was huge. Didn't hear much noise from other people. Beautiful lounge and bar. The sister hotel has a gym and indoor swimming pool but we just went to have a look rather than use the facilities. Really nice hotel and the price for a weekend at the end of February was excellent. Lovely sandy beach nearby. There are even goats walking around the hilly area between the sea and the road. There's an interesting red arrows memorial near the hotel.

Bit of a walk for us every time we wanted to get to the town but you can't have everything! It was facing the sea so a lovely view. The bathroom had a few large steps up to the loo and bath, which might not suit everyone. Some of the rooms could probably do with a bit of modernisation (like the net curtains for example).

Great location, nice no comfy bed

So outside of building needs painting badly looks nothing like the picture! Didn’t realise the spa is 2 buildings from the Cumberland in sister hotel then the swimming pool is 1 building up so not in same building as spa which I found very odd! The sauna was dirty, towels everywhere graffiti on the walls

The room was very small the bed had not been made - and was as though it had already been slept in without a bed sheet change - there was a loud buzzing / humming noise that went on all day and night the smell of fried food was constantly our room the shower was useless The hot water didn’t work in sink When mentioned to staff they just shrugged and said oh well

Okay I would not stay there again

The location was ok about a 15 minute walk into the town but I would not walk back at night we got a taxi as we did not feel that safe walking back to hotel after being in the town

The room we had was in the 2nd floor and very noisy as we was oppersite the sister hotel and there was a lot of noise coming from outside that hotel

A nice room but let down by certain dated parts of the hotel.

The room itself was nice a modern. Friendly staff!!

My shower was weak the first night I used it and couldn't use it at all the following morning as the water wasn't running out of the shower or the bathroom tap. The spa was more like a kids swimming pool so avoided that. Breakfast was pretty cold too!!

Lovely winter break

We loved the character of the place and the staff were so friendly and helpful, even let us change our dinner booking to Sunday lunch to accommodate a trip to the theatre. Love that it's dog friendly - especially in winter. The food was delicious- highly recommended 👌 Although a little way out of the town, we loved the walk either way along the beach and the views across the sea were stunning.

The bed was a bit on the hard side, and room was quite hot, but that's personal preference and we are able to turn the radiators down and open the windows.

No a very pleasant satay.

No much really.

The room very hot no air-conditioning, windows did not open, no full length mirror, room very small and this was supposed to be an up grade!!! Our friend that paid the same got a much better room not sure how it works with alocation but just expensive for what we got. We were above the kitchen so was woken up before 6am by a very loud extractor fan, loud pots and pans being moved and staff shouting. Told reception to be told not much they can do.breakfast was not very hot luke warm at best. We stayed in room 119 on 20th Dec 2025, avoid this room it was awful!!!

Noise from 9pm to 1am - not experienced on previous stays but both nights were horrendous very loud music thumping was not warned when checking in and as we booked back in July thought we would have been Moved to other part of hotel if quieter if there were parties going on absolutely horrendous xxx also the air con didn’t work so very hot and couldn’t open windows because of the noise levels xx

Location. Had Christmas do downstairs. Spacious room, clean tidy and comfy bed and roomy bathroom.

Carpet on stairs needs replacing. Not enough parking. Found tiny spot but too small spaces. Needed to climb out back of car.

The room was far too hot and the air con wasn’t working. The staff did try to sort out the problem. The swimming pool and gym were in the sister hotel next door which I hadn’t realised which was a shame as didn’t fancy the trek in the awful weather. The breakfast was very basic and not very inviting on the hot plates but you could ask for fresh eggs to be cooked.

It was smart and chilled and relaxed.

The head of housekeeping was a bit off with my partner when she brought us up a new kettle after ours stopped working. She seemed put out that we didn’t want our room serviced.
