Duvet was thin for time of year. The iron did not do much for the shirts. Breakfast could have been hotter but still tasted great.

Very clean. Breakfast was good.

Heating was broken when it was -5°C outside. Staff weren't surprised when we reported it, fairly sure they already knew! Travelling with toddler. Very kind night watchman found us a portable heater at 11pm, first he'd heard of the issue. Other staff that were aware of the problem hours earlier had just gone home despite telling us they would get back to us with a solution. Ultimately had a single heater for an entire 2 bed cottage so 2/3 of it was uninhabitable. Receptionists at checkout the next day couldn't give a toss. Made me feel like a complete idiot for even mentioning it (in response to their question "Was everything alright with your room?"!). Emailed the following day to ask about a resolution, was told to expect a response from management in 7-10 days. A month later, still nothing. Really is such a shame, we've stayed here before and had a fantastic time. Just make sure you don't have any issues during your stay...

Felt the dinner menu was limited. Have stayed at the hotel for several years and always felt there was a good varied menu however this has changed recently Staff at breakfast service could be improved

The cottages were lovely great for families. Plenty of room beds comfy. Great location.

We gave an arrive time but no heating was on when arrived the cottage were freezing cold took a while to heat up. The hotel itself, reception staff were great at check in. The staff in the restaurant and bar were average we waited a hour and half to be asked if we wanted desserts 45 minutes after finishing our main course. The meal was lovely just not big enough portions. The hotel has gone down in standards and the restaurant and bar areas need a good clean and paint. It’s so sad to see that the place where we got married 15 years ago go to ruins. Needs some much needed TLC.
