    This palatial hotel was beautiful. It is well-equipped with a spa (sauna and steam room) and indoor cool pool. The service was wonderful, with attentive and friendly staff. The quality of the breakfast is wonderful, with enormous choice, and lots of chioces for vegetarians and vegans (I am vegan).

    Amazing heritage hotel . An old palace converted to a grt hotel. We were 3 adults and room was very spacious. All the amenities were well taken care of. Breakfast was huge spread and amazing. Only downside was, being a heritage hotel be prepared for wedding celebrations happening there in peak season ( there was one happening when we were there) and it can get noisy and feel crowded!

    Stayed here for our first anniversary and the hotel was excellent. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location is great considering you can get a taxi into the main town in under 15 minutes, or you can walk down the river for 45 minutes with lovely scenery. The outside pool area is fantastic. However, I would avoid getting any food here. It was mediocre and far more expensive than most of what you’ll find in the city centre, including nicer restaurants. The portions are tiny too. The rooms were kept immaculately. Someone was there in the morning or early afternoon cleaning, and then when we came back in the evenings someone must’ve been back in to have another quick tidy up and left a different set of teas on our pillows each night. It was a nice touch, but a bit confusing on the first night. Might be worth mentioning at the reception upon check in as we walked in in the evening and things had been moved around and we wondered who had been in there after the cleaners. Overall a great experience and I would come back. The building is exceptional.

    Beautiful, peaceful and wonderful hotel. I will treasure the stay in my heart, remembering glorious mornings and sunsets on the deck over the river.
