Stayed in a renovated room. Very comfortable & good quality furniture & bathroom. Particularly liked the comfortable mattress, bedside light that could be angled for reading and expresso machine for coffee.
Staff where friendly & very helpful.
Excellent location to the centre, lots of restaurants around the area.
Hotel being renovated; at the time the front reception area, so a bit dusty in that area. Needed to walk through to get to the lift. I was concerned about possible noise from the renovation but in fact didn't hear any. I requested a quite room which they gave me on 6th floor.
I found the quilt too warm (spring time) so they changed it to a blanket which I found better.
Would have like an easy chair in the room.

Nice room, in daily good location , staff friendly.
Breakfast could have been a little better. I asked for eggs Benedict - only got one slice of toast with one egg. My partner had cooked breakfast, wasn’t loads on table to choose from.

Location was good for the weekend.
Reception area was a bit underwhelming, could be more inviting.
Our bathroom was ‘tired’ looking with damaged shower fittings and chipped bath. Room 212
My two sons rooms were also lacking tea and coffee facilities (208) dripping shower and damaged fittings.
For the room price, I would have expected a higher standard of facilities.

The location was excellent and the staff were polite and reactive to our concerns.We were in a refurbished room which was very quiet and comfortable.
The hotel was undergoing renovations about which we had not been forewarned. This greatly impacted on the hotels ability to provide us with a satisfactory location for meals. The restaurant was totally closed and breakfast had to be pre-ordered from a limited menu and there was the choice of eating breakfast in our room or the bar. The room did not give sufficient space for two people in eat in comfort so we opted for the bar. All breakfast items were delivered on one tray and positioned on a small table in the bar area. Unfortunately the quality was poor and was accompanied by the sound of a loud drill in the adjoining space. Overall breakfast was not an enjoyable experience. We did express our concerns to the manager who suggested we contact booking.com and she would approve a refund for the breakfasts. We have yet to attempt to do so. It’s a shame because under normal circumstances I am sure that it would be an ideal hotel in which to stay.
