Mon Port Hotel & Spa

Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and all delicious! Room and balcony were lovely, very quiet and spacious. We loved the three tier pool with different depths suitable for adults and children.

The abuse of the pool by families who let their children run around unsupervised. It was too much for one lifeguard to cope with as the families involved blatantly waited for their back to be turned. Children were jumping from the top pool into the one below, very easy to slip and an accident to happen. We saw very young children just left by their older siblings on the steps of the large pool, they had no lifevests on and clearly could not swim. Several guests saw this and were concerned, but the lifeguard could not see this from their seat. The parents involved were in the bar watching football. These were all British families I am ashamed to say! When the pool was closed for the evening, the same children were again in the top pool jumping into the lower pool, but nobody told them to get out as the pool was closed.

Very clean, everywhere was spotless. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds despite the usual towel brigade.

Not Worth 4 Stars – Poor Service and Noisy Rooms. Disappointing stay. Staff at the reception were not very friendly and mistook us for Germans – no respect, no welcome. We arrived at 11:30 AM andwere told that our room wasn’t ready. When we checked it ourselves, housekeeping had already cleansed our room. If we would not have checked it we would have been waiting more then 2+ hours. Poor communication. Rooms are extremely noisy. You hear every word from the neighbors and doors slam loudly at all hours. In need of renovatie. Breakfast is basic, fruit not very varied and fresh. Very limited pastry selection, and service is poor. Young, untrained staff joke around and don’t understand basic English. Finished was the only word we got. Most of the staff lack experience and professionalism. Definitely not 4-star Would not return. This hotel is seriously overrated.
