LH Hotel Gold

Hotel Gold sits just by the river with a small park in front. It sits slightly out of the heart of the town, but it's still only a few minutes walk to get to the Main Square. It was very peaceful and quiet. It's a nice looking hotel. Julia on reception was particularly helpful. Breakfast offerings were great with savoury and sweet options. It was nice to enjoy breakfast outside.

The hotel was peaceful haven next to the river and park. The room was lovely. It was a good size for comfort. It was clean. The bathroom was a good size and functional. We did not pay a high price, so it was excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was situated in a perfect position to see and explore the town. The parking was excellent; residents only next to the hotel and plenty of spaces. Breakfast was excellent, good choice, good quality, and very helpful staff; which made this hotel memorable for us.

I like a good shower; while the shower was good, it was the handheld type over the bath, with no shower curtain or door. With this type of shower I feel constrained; because I do not want to flood the floor with water. It was unusually hot during our visit, and there was no Aircon unit. I did not expect one, but it would have been useful in such hot weather. Given the quality and position of the hotel, it is a pity that an evening meal was not possible.
