1. Polite attitude: we spent one night and met totally 3 persons as they work in shifts as I guess) and all of them were polite. I have experience of traveling and I have seen the cases were people are laughing about who knows what and the customer thinks uncomfortable, sometimes the workers are complaining about work conditions with the customers and etc, but this hotel staff was polite with gestures and actions; 2. When I was told how much city tax should I pay, I thought 70, but it was 7 and the person at the receptionist guessed my worries about the big amount and explained that the amount was 7 and I relaxed; 3. Hotel was fine with decoration and I felt that the popular standards were followed as during New Year holidays there were present boxes and a tree and a horse that I have seen in other good hotels; Also there was a free tiny candy and it was fine because we arrived exactly after the flight and wanted to eat something g immediately and it was at the reception; 4. Room view was perfect: we ordered a common room but the hotel gave us a room a perfect view that made a feeling as we were involved in city life all night. There was no sound from the street as it seems the populations keeps silence, just we were part of city life as we watched the decoration lights on the bridge and streets all the night as the hotel is in the centre, while other hotels’ rooms (if not paying for view) windows have a look just on the wall of the other window or wall or ugly small inner court or similar area. 5. Room equipment: we had water, coffee machine and coffee and sucker and 1 candy for 1 person 1 night while in other hotels’ rooms are just water, also there were slippers and coats, those are not in other hotels; 6. As It’s in the centre at the great location, I shall definitely book it again. 7. Price was very appropriate, so it’s worth of its price.

Stylish and comfortable rooms in a great location for a reasonable price. Excellent staff.

We had a great stay at the Ambassador. The concierge upgraded us to a larger room with a Queen-sized bed. The rooms was furnished in an elegant but simple style. The bathroom was very well designed. The bed was very comfortable. The location was unbeatable- right in front of the lake. The staff were great. We would absolutely stay here again.

V ery good location next to lake and river. Pleasant staff. Lovely spacious room with two main areas. Good size bathroom. Especially liked the separate storage room off the bedroom.

Fabulous ! Fantastic location by the River and a bridge over the river to the old town , also a short walk to the train station .. Lovely big room and newly renovated with modern decor . Nice little touches like a night light in the bathroom .

Excellent stay with charm and comfort

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location is perfect, offering beautiful views and easy access to everything you need. The cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable, and the staff were kind, helpful, and professional. While the furniture is a bit dated, it actually adds a charming, characterful atmosphere to the room rather than detracting from it. It felt cosy and authentic rather than worn out. Overall, an excellent choice—I’d gladly stay here again.

Charged 48frs for two coffees and two orange juices, although we specifically asked if we would be charged for full breakfast and were told no. Not very helpful at checkout.

Hotel charged me twice for my stay: once via booking and once during the checkout. I am still waiting for the refund. I understand any problems that might occur and cause the delay however the contact with the staff is very difficult (they do not reply on the emails. From the 4star hotel in the middle of Geneva I would expect much more. The stay it self was good.
