One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Now need to try other hotels from PLAZA

Overall, hits most if not all the boxes. A lot of small details done right. Breakfast: - all fresh, good selection, good taste. - fresh orange and multi-vitamin juice - as much as you wish. - a lot of good protein options : salmon, meat (cold/warm), scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese. Location: close to the train station (7 min walking) and bus stop (3 min). But windows has good isolation, so can't hear any noise. Also close to the city center. Room is super clean and no random sounds from fridge, etc. Showers: good shower system, just takes a few second to select the desired temperature which stays stable. + A lot of soap and shower gel, so not need to worry much about asking for refill during your stay. Extra points for elevator configured to stay open on the ground floor (and coming back to ground floor by itself after someone used it) More Extra points for small red light in the bathroom (which can be turned on/off) - so you don't disturb your sleep if you need to go to bathroom in the evening or at night.

Nitpicking here. But maybe it will be critical for someone: - Wifi was working, but in general it was not fast. Had unlimited mobile, so I've used it instead. - communication emails are coming in German. Although there are options to select the language (EN) in the internal app , it will be good to have an option during registration what is the preferred communication language. And then receive all emails/communication in it. (Again, not a big issue with google translate and etc. Just something that can be improved)

Breakfast was standard and okay

Booked a double room with two guests, payment was taken for a room with two occupants but had only a single bed not a double bed or in some cases two single beds but a single bed only... I feel cheated by this though I raised the issue with the hotel. Nothing was done to address it by way of adjusting payment, invoice and charges. In addition to the above, table water is not replaced in the room every day and I had to raise the issue with the receptionist a day before I left the hotel before something was done about it. Room service cleaning was very poor to and wanting.

Next to the local train station and in the city center of Pulheim, 20 mn away from Koln Main Station, staff very efficient and available

Nothing bad for us. Maybe some french speaker could help French visitors in this part of Germany not so far away from France with the Thalys train.

The hotel is not a four star hotel whatsoever (below par room, amenities, service and food) and is severely over priced!

The first room we saw was very depressing. The breakfast buffet was very empty even quite early on.

Terrible customer service.

The parking was empty and plentiful. They have a modern reception area.

I booked two double rooms. One for single use. The first room I was given stunk of animals, I suspect dogs. In the corner of the room there was a sleeping area for a dog and also bowls for water and food. I went down to the reception to complain and the people at reception didn´t find either aspects to be unacceptable and were not apologetic. They then started to question if I shouldn´t have a single room as I am on my own. Thankfully they gave me a double but when my colleagues arrived, they did´t have a double room for them. Eventually they got two single rooms. The hotel seemed to have prepared rooms for the Saturday and didn´t want to give Friday guests the rooms they had booked. The rooms in the hotel are very old fashioned and basic. Pulheim has a nice square around the corner that you can reach in 2 minutes walking. Apart from that, there is no reason to stay in this hotel. There are much better options in Cologne or Mönchengladbach that are often better priced too.

Superb

Nice rooms, super nice staff and amazing breakfast. We were there over Christmas, and its a popular local place for Christmas eve dinner and Christmas brunch, and they contacted us months in advance to give us an opportunity to make a reservation, which was really appreciated.

die Garage, sehr schlechte Garagenbewirtschaftung. -> vor kurzem war ich in einem gehobenen Haus, da wurde der Parkplatz zu gewiesen und der blieb für den Aufenthalt. Hier wurde kreuz und quer geparkt, vor allem die SUV-Fahrer, die wie immer nicht fahren und parken können!
