Every things excellent

Thanks to a few dedicated staff members helped us get through it until the very end. I would like to extend my special thanks to the wonderful housekeeping lady who kept our villa spotless, the gardener who worked tirelessly day and night to keep the area around our villa free of fallen leaves, the pool staff who always welcomed us with a warm smile, and the breakfast team at La Sala. Your hard work and kindness truly made a difference.

The hotel needs to stop holding its guests’ basic need for drinking water hostage just to make a profit. This is an outrageous and unacceptable way to treat guests. Since it was difficult to find good restaurants near the hotel, our family ended up dining at the hotel restaurants quite often. I was quite surprised to find that the food prices were by no means cheaper than in the UK. However, as the food was delicious and the service was good, it wasn’t prohibitively expensive. When I saw the bill, I felt completely blindsided. (Photo attached) Our family has stayed at many five-star hotels around the world, but we have never once been charged £8 for a single bottle of water. When I questioned the charge, both the waitress and the hotel reception staff simply repeated, without any explanation, that this was the hotel’s selling price for that water. I specifically asked for a large bottle of water. I did not ask for the most expensive imported premium water on their menu. As I felt that I was getting nowhere with the reception staff, I requested to speak with a manager through the Booking.com messaging system. It was not until the following day, after more than 24 hours had passed, that I finally received the response shown. {Thank you for your message, and please accept our apologies for the delayed response. We understand that you have already spoken with our team regarding your concern. We hope everything has been addressed accordingly. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know.} I had to ask to speak to the manager again. There were quite a few complications before I finally received an apology from the hotel manager, but I’ll leave that part out. I paid the full charge for the premium imported water at checkout. Now that I’m back home in the UK, I feel that fellow travellers around the world deserve to know about this experience, so I’m sharing it in this review.
