Penylodge

This was a lovely, comfortable, highly recommended cottage, with a lovely, welcoming host. within walking distance of a large Co-op. And handy for town . The White Horse pub is recommended for generous pub grub.

Too short a stay.

Excellent location for walking the Wye Valley Way and Heart of Wales path. Easy walk into town and a hot tub after a days walking is a real bonus

Nothing

We had a very pleasant break at Penylodge even though it rained most of the week! It was just a few minute's walk down to the town with a handy Co-op just down the hill (unfortunately not much good for Gluten Free food). There is so much beautiful countryside on the doorstep; we visited the Elan Valley, Llandridnod Wells and Brecon, and had a wonderful day in Talgarth. The lodge was modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Lovely views from the balcony and decking area. The huge TV was a bonus, as was the hot tub. Jill showed us how it worked and I managed to use it (despite a dodgy hip).

No coffee table near sofa to put cups on. Pillows were very soft and flat. Parking was a bit tricky as it was on a very steep drive with other parked cars close by. Exterior planters need a bit of TLC!

Thought there would been coffee and tea. But really not a worry either as coop cross road
